"I have a book signing scheduled at the Booksellers at Laurelwood on August 9th at 6 p.m. for my book Too Fat for Europe [Enraged Fez Publications]. What information, if any, do you need to consider running a piece on this event, which, if I am not mistaken, will mark the apex of the written word since the dawn of time?"
"1. I have received positive feedback on the book. People tell me they enjoy it and find it entertaining. Then I give them a check."
"2. I have not brought the book to the stage as part of my standup act. We tried to incorporate it into an improv game with the Wiseguys, but the foray into the literary world did not pan out for us that night. Such is the fickle nature of improv." Â
"3. [My wife and I] got back from our trip [to London, Paris, and Rome] in March, so we have not had a chance to head across the pond again. We hope to do so again someday. Hopefully, it won't take four more decades for me to get there."
"4. Conceptually, travel to foreign lands is terrifying. The idea of being in a country where they don't speak your language is daunting. It's easy to believe, going into the experience, that you will be swindled and murdered. As far as I can tell, neither happened on our trip, so it appears my fears were misplaced. I am sure some people made fun of me in a foreign language, but they do that here in English, so that's not really a big deal."
