The month-long series benefits the Whole Planet Foundation, which supports organizations that provide micro-credit loans to people in developing countries.
Rounding out the series are:
Melissa Petersen of Edible Memphis, March 13th, 1 p.m.
Chef Josh Belenchia of Interim, March 20th, 1 p.m.
Chef Ben Adams of Napa Cafe, March 27th, 1 p.m.
According to Liza Burke of Whole Foods, the four were chosen because of their commitment to using local ingredients.
Mitchum is planning on making mocha truffles, using Fair Trade sugar, coffee, and chocolate.
Classes are $10 and will be held in the community room toward the back of the store. Because the space is small, registration is recommended: liza.burke@wholefoods.com or 761-9730.
Good news: There's still space for tomorrow's class!
