First, Felicia Willett of Felicia Suzanne's is leading a Five Easy, Local Dishes cooking class at the Dixon on Saturday.
On Sunday, it's the annual Signature Chefs Auction, a fund-raiser for the March of Dimes.
I know a thing or two about taking classes, and I have to say cooking classes are the best, as you get to eat.
Five Easy, Local Dishes is designed to help you through the upcoming holidays and the menu looks divine.
•House Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs
•Arugula Salad tossed in a Sweet Cane Vinaigrette with Spiced Pecans, Julienned Apples, and crumbled Blue Cheese
•Quail stuffed with Sausage Dressing with Apple Cider Syrup
•Parsnip Puree
•Chocolate Bread Pudding with Praline Sauce
The class is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 13th. Cost is $85 for Dixon members, $100 nonmembers. Registration is required — 761-5250.
