Today I met with Scott Krueger of Big Boy Cakes and Confections.
Big Boy, which sells cakes, fudge, and divinity, is an online store based out of Cordova. You can read all about it in the story I'm working on for the January/February issue of MBQ magazine, but for now here are a few interesting details ...

• The name of the company was suggested by his daughter, and it is indeed appropriate as Kruegar is 6'8".
• Big Boy was started in July 2009. During last year's holiday season, Krueger estimates he shipped 500-plus pounds of fudge.
• The fudge is based on his grandmother's recipe, and everything that is shipped is made-to-order.
• Also, Krueger is no dummy. He brought milk-chocolate fudge and milk-chocolate fudge with nuts for sampling.

It was creamy and chocolate-y ... everything you want in a fudge. I think I got a sugar buzz.
For those in-city interested in trying the fudge, Krueger is open to arranging drop-offs and does do deliveries within reason.
