Fresh Slices

If you can't find anything to eat at Fresh Slices just forget it and go home. You are impossible.

If anything, there are too many choices. It's the Infinite Jest of menus.

One of my coworkers got the mushroom panini and could not say enough good things about it. It's a grilled portobello mushroom on focaccia bread with Boursin cheese. A can't-fail combination. My vegetable sandwich, with eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, and roasted red peppers was similar and similarly good.

Another coworker usually orders the Les Frazier Monte Club, a twist on the Monte Cristo, which I always associate with the ’80s and chain restaurants. This time, however, he got the Bill Bullock Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, basically buffalo wings on a bun.

The prettiest item on the table (ruined by my fuzzy photos, alas) was chicken bowtie pasta — grilled chicken four cheeses with an alfredo sauce.

On this day, the restaurant was out of bow tie pasta and served the dish came with noodles, which made eating it a bit messier than normal but no less tasty.
