Shall we drink to Elvis' birthday?
Just in time for what would have been Elvis' 77th birthday, Bakon vodka offers up The Elvis Presley cocktail.
The Elvis Presley
• 1 part Bakon Vodka
• ½ part hazelnut liqueur
• ½ part banana liqueur
• splash of creamShake with ice and served like a Martini -or- strained into a shot glass.
And since this is a birthday, you absolutely must have cake ...
... or, better yet, cake pops.
Love the sneer on these from Soli's Cake Pops.

These from Pop Cake Kitchen are pretty cool too.

I happened upon the cake pops when searching for info on Saturday's Memphis Symphony's Elvis Pops concert. More Elvis events at elvis.com.

Elvis himself did not drink and disallowed drunkenness or alcohol, even by friends at Graceland. His father was an alcoholic and considered it harmful.
So much for the vodka drink.
Isn't it time to lay Elvis to rest and quit squeezing every last dime from his bloated dead corpse? If other dead rock stars were being sqeezed for kitsch, we would be hyprocrits and say how awful that was. How about a Michael Jackson lollypop, oh, uh...never mind.
Little known fact, even with Memphians as well as out of towners, Memphis has a living rock star. His name is Al Green and he is a preacher. Al lived to old age, hot bacon grease over the head not withstanding.
