I had heard reports that service at the newly opened Crazy Noodle was erratic. Five or so weeks in, it seems those issues have been worked out. In fact, our waitress was attentive and more than willing to accommodate requests.
The waitress even brought out a stack of extra napkins in case I spilled my Vegetable Noodle Soup ($8.99), which came in this pretty pot.
I thought the gesture a bit premature ... until I deposited a spoonful of the soup — a perfectly spiced combo of onions, carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, potatoes, and noodles in a vegetable broth — down my sleeve. (Was it the power of suggestion?)
We also tried the cold noodle dish Bibim Vegetable Noodle ($8.99) — with zucchini, carrots, mushrooms, onions, bean sprouts, green onion with soy sauce and a spicy sauce.
This one's spicy spicy. I liked the cold and hot together, and I think this would be just the thing for a hot summer day.
We also got the Tofu Salad ($4.99), a light dish with fried tofu, lettuce, cucumbers and green onions topped with a mustard-y soy dressing. And there was the Vege-jean ($4.99), fried sweet potatoes, carrots, onions, and zucchini.
This nice and simple savory pancake with a sweet-spicy dipping sauce was my favorite dish of the meal.
