A few weeks ago, I teamed up with a co-worker to write Psssst: Secrets of the City.
The intent was to illuminate a few things and places you might not know about, but could be helpful or interesting. One of those things was what we called "The Faces of Idlewild."

When Idlewild Presbyterian Church was built in the '20s, the architect, George Awsumb had his children's likenesses carved into a doorway.
This morning, I got an email from George Ensminger, saying that he enjoyed seeing his 91-year-old mother Georgianna in the Flyer and thought we might like an update. (At the time of the carving, she was a third grader at Snowden.)

Totally cute!
