This week, I wrote about the Memphis singles' scene for our print product. The gist: the single women here are stuck up; there aren't enough single men; and everybody knows everybody else. So good luck.
But I also mentioned something that is somewhat infamous between me and my friends: "the List."
After several inquiries about "the List," I think I should clarify a few things:
1. It's not really for sale. I would be happy to give the list to anyone who wanted it, but I think you'd have a hard time reading it, for various reasons (please see #2, below).
2. It began, as most of the world's best ideas do, at a bar.
In its initial stages, however, it was more of a guest list. We were thinking of throwing one of those parties where everyone either brings their exes or someone single and of the opposite sex.
I don't know what they're called but the idea is that even if this person wasn't/isn't right for you, they might be right for someone else. I'm pretty sure it was on Sex & the City one time.

But we're not really big on party planning. So we just ended up with a list of single guys. And since then, it's taken on a life of its own.
3. Yes, you're on it.
