Sarah Palin at Costco in Nashville

Posted by Bruce VanWyngarden on Wed, Dec 1, 2010 at 2:15 PM

Hey, I bet you're feeling pretty good today. It's sunny, nice, a brisk November breeze in the air. But just think how much better you would feel if you could actually MEET SARAH PALIN and get her to personally sign her book, just for you. Well, a bunch of lucky folks in Nashville got to do just that. Their sincere admiration for Mama Grizzly made me tear up a little. It's touching, really.

Not to mention utterly terrifying.

Watch it here.

You can find all kinds of stupid things at Costco this time of year.

P.S. My favorite quote from the clip: "I think she'd be an awesome president." Well, if meatloaf can be "awesome," I suppose Palin can be too. Personally, I think Meat Loaf would be a more "awesome" president.

I think you meant to say that Meat Loaf would be the most awesome president.

No, I actually meant a more "awesome" president than Sarah Palin, if that's possible, but this may well be a logical fallacy, like saying "better best.". I'll leave it to the experts on awesomeness as to whether or not there can be degrees of awesome.

Actually, the "most awesome" president would obviously be Basil Marceaux. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBB6kZ16DUc

How appropriate is that? Sarah Palin signing books in a warehouse dedicated to bulk discount shopping.

I am sorry I missed this. It would have been wonderful to flop a 200 pound bag of dog food on the table as I handed her a book to sign. "I just loved you in that movie with Burt Reynolds!"

I 'm just waiting for the fall. I can already see Jeff VanVonderen asking her if she will "accept the help that is being offered here today".

Jbrrd: I'm sure you're quite the expert on weenies, but IMO, people who use fake names to vilify people anonymously on the internet don't have much room to talk about courage.

hey Bruce-

if you check my profile u have my real name & contact details-been that way since i set my profile up maybe 3 years ago. anyway, i think your relentless assault on anything to the right of Micheal Dukakis is appaling. it a shame you have marginalized the MF with such lopsided and blantantly bias political commentary. i dunno why you have picked the Newsweek model to emulate, but you have, and history has shown you will probably suffer for it.

you are still a giant weenie with your faux moral indignation ("vilify people") i mean come on. you print letters in your mag that accuse TEA party candidates of planning to outlaw homosexuality. Do you really think that is true? Of course you don't, but your not above taking a few cheap shots when you can, u weenie.

Sounds to me like envy; given the context of previous assaults on Sarah Palin by this writer. Do you find it 'terrifying' that one would seek for the American public to adhere to the U.S. Constitution more? I find the Republicans still violating many elements or tenets of such, but I don't think that is this writer's problem with Sarah Palin.

"Do you find it 'terrifying' that one would seek for the American public to adhere to the U.S. Constitution more?"

She couldn't find the Constitution with both hands if it was plastered to her a$$. She's a quitter and a buffoon, interested solely in enriching herself, and anyone who takes her seriously as anything other than CHauncy Gardner in drag (which apparently doesn't include George Will, Joe Scarborough, Barbara Bush, etc., etc.) is an idiot. Period. She'll be a laughable footnote in the history books decades from now.

hey fudgepack, still at it huh? Palin has got a fire ass & that really pisses you off. She is so damn hot, plus making all the libtards' heads spin with rage.....i mean whats not to like??

is she presidential material ? maybe in another 10 years or soooooo, but very few people on the right have her on their short list for that position. she is more viewed like an L'Enfant terrible of the conservative movement, which seems about right to me.

its Palin derangement Syndrome on the left that continually puts her in the news cycle. BTW, fudgepack, u r really sticking your neck out saying Palin will be a laughable footnote. She has buried everyone so far that has gone toe to toe with her. Including Obambi. Took 'em down with nothing more than a facebook page. bwaa hahahahahaha

I wonder how Sarah Palin feels about unconstitutional faith-based slush funds that support proselytizing and discrimination against gays and non-Christians? the very gays and non-Christians whose tax dollars go to support these initiatives.

I wonder how Sarah Palin feels about funding unconstitutional wars, ongoing occupations and military bases on foreign soil?

birdboy, i don't know what a "fire" ass is. If you mean "fine" ass, then my wife's makes Sayrah's look like a caboose. Sounds to me like you've got some issues if you're so enthralled by her looks, which after all, is the number one quality one looks for in a presidential candidate, right? Sounds to me like you haven't had a decent-looking piece in your entire miserable neo-conservative hater life. But that's just my take.

Maybe, while whe was at Costco, she got her a case of Tuck's Medicated Pads to take care of the "fire ass."

Why is it that St Sarah's flock never answer questions, but simply make vacuous replies pertaining to her looks, the supposedly anti-Sarah media, or just how much she has/will crush the demon democrats?

There seem to be a lot of people afflicted with Palin Derangement Syndrome reading (and writing for) the Flyer.

Palin Derangement Syndrome more accurately describes the mental situation of anyone who thinks she should be taken seriously as anything other than a reality TV star. But go ahead, teabaggers, nominate her for GOP candidate for POTUS. That's a Democratic wet dream for 2012.

Yea, I'm not for Palin, but I'm not a hater like most of you pricks on here like Fudgepackerrat.. if you think the Dems are going to win anything in 2012, you just shit yourself.
