Coming Home

Posted By on Tue, Aug 8, 2006 at 4:00 AM

Artist Brad McMillan, whose drawings have adorned everything in Memphis from the ceiling of the P&H Café to the editorial pages of the Memphis Business Journal, has moved back to his hometown of Jackson, Tennessee, following the death of his wife, Carolyn.

McMillan, a 1968 graduate of Rhodes College (then called Southwestern at Memphis) first got his start teaching in Jackson, then moved to Memphis in the early 1970s and began illustrating for a number of publications here, including a few pieces for the Flyer’s sister publication, Memphis magazine. In the late 1970s, he moved to Dallas, while continuing to contribute drawings to the MBJ and other clients.
