Memphis Is The Best

"Men of Memphis — There is a tremendous amount of luck that puts a ship in position to be heroic, but that's where the luck ends and the hours of preparation and the fundamental commitment to success takes over ... You seized the opportunities every time and you always delivered."

The men of the submarine USS Memphis, that is. The sub named after our hometown won quite an honor last week: the Battenberg Cup, given to the ship or submarine selected by the Naval commander as the best in the fleet.
