Ghosts, Gore, and Haunted Houses

With the 13th of this month falling on a Friday, we get two scary days in October this year. And what better why to celebrate ghosts and gore than with a haunted house tour.
Nightshade Manor, located at 1301 Heistan Place just off Bellevue, offers spooky tours through film-quality sets with high-tech special effects. Its website promises “a high-startle, low-gore haunted experience.”
The house is open for tours every Friday through Sunday night through the end of the month, and it’s also open on Halloween night. Admission is $10 with two cans of food or $12 without. A portion of proceeds benefit the Memphis Food Bank.
