... to Discuss Kroc Center, Court Square, Crockett Golf Course

The proposed Kroc Center at the Mid-South Fairgrounds and an update on Court Square’s prospects since the big fire are two of the items on the City Council’s agenda this Tuesday.
Also scheduled for discussion are the closing of the Davy Crockett golf course in north Memphis and the annexation schedule for Bridgewater and part of southeast Shelby County.
The Kroc Center would be a recreation and community center backed by a $48 million gift from McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc and his wife. The exact location of the facility has not been determined, but it is a central piece of the plans for reinventing the fairgrounds.
Court Square Center was underway when a fire destroyed one building and damaged the Lincoln American Tower and the Rhodes Jennings Building earlier this month. Developers intend to rebuild.
