Celebrate Mardi Gras in Memphis at The Brooks

Mardi Gras doesn’t go down in New Orleans for a couple more weeks, but the folks at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art are celebrating a little early.
“Marti Gras” (the “t” is intentional ... you know, as in "art") is the theme of the monthly "First Wednesdays at the Brooks" event to be held tomorrow at 6 p.m. It'll feature live jazz by Brian "Breeze" Cayolle and a screening of the New Orleans musical documentary Make It Funky! The Brushmark Restaurant will be serving up authentic Creole cuisine.
