In an outdoors ceremony at Nashvilles downtown Arcade on Thursday, Tennessee governor Phil Bredesen handed out the first CoverTN card to to Angie Moore, sales manager of The Pepper Patch, a small specialty foods shop in suburban Franklin with 15 employees. The plan involves no front-end deductibles and requires a $25 co-payment for a doctor's office visit and $10 for most prescription drugs. Premiums are based on weight, tobacco use and age - with an average monthly premium of $50 for each payer. Coverage is also available for hospitalization.
