Stax Photo Exhibit Opens June 8th

"The Art of Stax: Essential Album Photographs by Joel Brodsky" opens June 8th at The Stax Museum of American Soul Music with a reception from 7-9 p.m.
The exhibit will include some 40 of the original photographs taken by late music photographer Brodsky for Stax Record covers, as well as additional out-takes from the photo shoots.
Album covers to be displayed include Isaac Hayes' "Black Moses," Booker T. & the MGs' "McLemore Avenue," Mavis Staples' "Only For The Lonely," Jean Knight's "Mr. Big Stuff," and David Porter's "Victim Of The Joke?"
