Video Game Tournament at First Congo on Thursday

There will be a video game tournament on Thursday, July 14th, at First Congregational Church on South Cooper.

The tournament is being held to raise money to buy children at St. Jude Nintendo DS Lites and games.

It's the kick-off event for the Gamers for Life charity.

Entry fees are: $20 to play, $5 to watch, with all proceeds going to help the cause. Four games will be played: Tekken 5, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, Halo 2, and Gears of War.

(Parental consent forms are needed for those under 17 wanting to play Halo 2 or Gears of War. Consent forms and other information on the event can be found at the Gamers for Life website.
