Boston City Council Demands To See List of Candidates

The Boston Herald reports that the Boston City Council members feel "blindsided" by the selection of Carol Johnson as superintendent and are demanding to see a list of candidates.

“We need more information, than information on Carol Johnson. They don’t need to give us specific names; they need to give us the framework of other candidates,” [Council president Maureen Feeney] said. “We need to know what kind of interest this position held for people beyond the Greater Boston area.”

Johnson is scheduled to be in Boston on Tuesday.

The need to see more canidates because Carol Johnson hasn't exactly turned things around with the Memphis City Schools. Her track record here isn't all that good down here.
