Two Memphis Singers Slated For American Idol Final Four?

Posted By on Tue, Mar 17, 2009 at 4:00 AM

The New York Daily News has posted a story about an American Idol "staffer" who's purportedly claiming the finalists on the popular Fox show are predetermined by the judges. That's bad news for the integrity of the show, but apparently good news for the Memphis contestants -- Alexis Grace and Lil Rounds. The staffer alleges that both are going to be among the final four singers.

Judges on tonight's program gave the Memphis singers mixed reviews. The theme was "Nashville," and the country tunes were apparently not exactly Grace's and Rounds' forte. The group of 11 finalists will be narrowed to 10 or so (depending on the judges) Wednesday night.

Read the News story here. (We'd advise that you "consider the source" before taking this report too seriously.)
