I work near O Taste & See and I feel blessed to be able to eat Mrs Barbara's food (and "blessed" coming from an atheist is the highest honor!). I prefer the chicken salad sandwich and the buttermilk chess pie. The prices might be steeper than fast food, but man o man is the quality of the food and the service SO worth it.
Just a reminder ... I only accept entries via email, email@example.com.
I went there on 3/7 because of this article. Super nice people and great food. Highly recommended. Also, the article did not mention that they serve candied bacon and mango bbq sauce. Yumm-o!
Snack bar at Mud Island.
The food was spectacular!!
Went to Overton Square location for lunch with high hopes as we had never been there before. What we found was lousy service with a limited menu of nothing but what appeared to be overpriced snacks. Got tired of waiting for service and left. Went to McAllisters and had a good meal. Now I understand what a "Gastro Pub" is.
Hog and Hominy - their peanut butter banana pie (to die for!) and gelato. Not sure what the other pies are.
I live in Midtown also and like German food, lived there as a kid, BUT no way I want to be served by a bunch of people in leiderhosen, more like going to Disneyworld theme park. Yuck, what are they thinking???
Eat Well, spinach roll
I was at a recent event at the River Inn and requested a vegetarian entree and was served the veggie crepes- they were spectacular! Highly recommend
