I went on this... and it was a lot of fun. A unique way to have a long lunch! Some history, some 'what's new' info about chefs/restaurants/downtown, lots to eat, and fun people.
Great music. At one point they were playing a Neil Young song, and all of a sudden it was Pink Floyd. They got a request for a Lynard Skynard song and they played it... perfectly. A great band to see. If you ever get a chance to see them live, do so.
Outstanding work from outstanding local artists. A must see show.

A fun event for a great cause. It's about time we begin to award those who have stood up for and invested in our beloved Midtown.
Great idea, I look forward to the event
The Dixon is my very favorite Memphis Art Gallery. They get some wonderful exhibits and I am looking forward to seeing this one! (they have beautiful gardens too.)
The House of Mtenzi is a museum of the history of Memphis Performing Arts. It also serves as a venue for up and coming performers.
If Scrooge was a Brother was phenomenal!!!!! The entire cast was on point. This is a tear jerker but just when the tear is about to fall they will make you laugh and then take you to Christ. The spin they put on it was great it showed the real life struggles of the black family. This is a must see.

Jason James is absolutely talented! His performances are incredible!
Lauren Mayberry, Martin Doherty, Iain Cook and crew brought their jam back to Tennessee and just in time. It's been three months since Chvrches blew us away at Bonnaroo and we were ready for more. This Minglewood Hall show started with awesome and ended with more awesome, as the band played all the power-pop hits from 'The Mother We Share' and one or two new cuts. There may be no better chorus in rock than that in "Recover'; there may be no more surprising crowd favorite than "Under the Tide" sung by Martin with a jerky dance while Lauren, usually the eye-catching center of the outfit, worked magic on the boards. The people loved it. We danced, we sang along, we drove 420 mies round-trip from Nashville to see Chvrches and would do it again tonight. This was an epic show and a great crowd. We didn't quite pack the Hall, but we knew every word to every song and sang and danced until we were drenched, and spent. We figure the next time we see Chvrches it will be in an arena. We feel lucky to have seen them in this medium sized club with 500 or 600 good friends. It was pure barry, braw and belter. Long live Chvrches!
We can't wait!!!
We have been in Memphis 8 years and have gone to Big Scoop for the last 5 years. This will be our 6th year and we wouldn't miss it! It is a wonderful event full of fun, games, and of course a variety of ice cream and tasty treats to sample. The entertainment is always awesome. We take a picture with a different cartoon character every year and this has become a great family tradition. The best thing is that the proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House, which a just a wonderful place, and the people there are so nice! It is worth more than the price of the ticket! Love it, love it, love it!
Great music, amazing songs, really cool crowd, and neat girls! Everyone should enjoy a night out on the town listening to the Zoo Girls Music!
