The ribs here are awesome. They fall off the bone and very large portions.
GREAT food and atmosphere! Very good service!
The best looking and polite bartenders and servers in memphis,
you ladies rock!
Folk's Folly is fantastic - a Memphis tradition. The quality of steaks is superb, the atmosphere is warm and comfortable, from the dark piano bar to the low lit dining rooms and private booths. The service is impeccable, the sides and salads are amazing as well. Perhaps next time I go I'll order dessert so I can write about it too. I would recommend Folk's Folly to ANYONE who wants a prime steak and fine dining experience from the time you step inside the door until you leave again.
I agree, the seafood chowder is the best and I get it every time I go there for lunch.....many great dishes at affordable prices and a wonderful atmosphere..The waiters and waitresses all seem to be good and the food is usually forthcoming in a reasonable amount of time....
I am extremly excited to hear all the familiar tunes and see everyone this weekend. My family provided a place to allow all forms of art to be expressed. I was there most every night and heard some incredible shows. Please bring any mementos you wish others to see. Rock on Your favorite bartender Robin McGehee Lankford
I have been going to Alfred's for the past 3 years to see Garry Wesley perform as ELVIS during Elvis Week. THe foo is always great the service the same and the Entertainment is well worth it. I will be going again this year for Elvis Week! I am an ETA myself.. Bob Williamson also known as MGL Elvis!
Great atmosphere and place to go with friends for a drink. The food is also very good, especially the hummus or stoner pie. The back patio is smallish but very cozy nonetheless.
A close friend of mine was visiting me from Orlando, FL and I asked her to join me in dining here for the 1st time. We absolutely loved everything. It was a very different eating experience. It's great when you try new dishes and love them. I will definitely be dining here again. Everything was delicious!
The best fish chowder I have found in Shelby county. Reasonably priced.

Freeworld is one of the best jam bands to come out of Memphis in the last 20 years! check them out on Sundays at 10:30PM on the top of Beale inside of Blues City Cafe.
The popcorn appetizer is so good. I haven't had anything there I didn't like. I'm pretty picky about my fish. The salmon salad is the best.
Absolutely the worst dining experience on beal street!! A very historic place to visit but not necessarily the best dining experience. Service was extremely horrible. Had to get several drinks myself from the bar. Host knew absolutely nothing about the menu and could care less about anything. Mainly she wanted to stand outside and chat with her friends. When the food finally arrived, an hour or so later, the bun on my club sandwitch was burned and the french fries were cold. My friend who ordered a simple burger, found that his burger was burned to a crisp. Then came the overpriced bill, over $30 for a burger and a club sandwich. Would not recommend ever eating there, just have a drink(if you can get one) and listen to the music if there is any.
Best food on Beale. Service isn't the best due to volume of customers. Eat there every time we go to Beale
Very good food and great service. My wife and I eat here at least 3 times a month. We eat out 2 times a week. Always updating menu.
The goats drink beer. The place is a good outdoor hangout. And it's as irish as your gonna get for Beale. Great bar. had a lot of good times there. As for the 4 dollar tipper above me.....For 4 people? Thats weak. Don't go out in public cheapo.
Thank you for allowing us smokers to smoke.
You and The Cove are the only places that allow us to smoke (inside).
That I know of.
Any other restaurants 21+ let me know.
Thank you
I can see why Windjammer was voted Best of in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Great Karaoke, lots of girls, friendly crowd and staff. I will be back.
Re: “Local Gastropub”
I've heard many folks raving about this hip little spot on Main, and so I'm hoping my first-time lunch experience was just a fluke. They were out of many key items (including all chicken and tuna) and so our dishes seemed to be lacking a bit of what was listed on the menu. I tried having a salmon rather than tuna tostada, and unfortunately it didn't quite work, but my friend thoroughly enjoyed the meatball sliders. Although I wasn't entirely impressed this first trip, I definitely will be back to try their dinner menu. It is a bit pricey, but the dark & chic atmosphere make it seem like an ideal date night place.
