When does the server dictate how much and when you tip, had a bad experience with Waiter BOBBY, where we come from you tip at the end of the evening and you give what your server deserves, anyway after the second round, he informs us that we can get our own since we didn't tip. Needless to say we spent our money and tips somewhere else, where the service was great, left a $50 when we left, sorry BOBBY. The singers and piano players also complain about how much tip. Sound like they need to find new jobs.
Been there and enjoyed a beer or two and watched the game. Good Chili.
If you like LOUD, SMOKEY places and lousy food....this Bud's for you!
place has good crowd. Excellent band "Freeworld" this night I went. However, the doorman was very unfriendly, definitely could use some manners ! They were out potato skins on a Saturday night, so I tried fried dill pickles, which were not crisp & greasy, so i gave them another chance & tried the Chicken Quesadilias, they were Worse. terrible greasy & flavorless. At least the music was good !Waitress was good, too bad she wasnt cooking !
This bar/pub/restaurant is fantastic. The two dishes I would recommend would be first, the Island Club sandwich. A club sandwich like no other, and HUGE!. Go in hungry for this one, cause it is BIG. Second, the Meatball Sandwich. Tasty big meatballs in a tasty italian roll, covered with just the right spiced up tomato sauce. A pleasurable dining experience, every time. Wait staff very attentive to your needs...AAAA++++
The original is delish! I'm so happy to have Slider Inn around the corner. This is my new hangout!
We ate at the Slider Inn on August 22 and despite the review above, we had GREAT food, and incredible service. The place was packed - inside and outside - but our waitress was very attentive. She said that it would take a while for our dinners - and they were delivered within 10 minutes! No need for apologies. The Sliders with blue cheese and carmelized onions were incredible and the regular sliders (they have a name, but it was ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomatoe) were really good too. And the fries - TO DIE FOR!!! No complaints from us!
DANGER= the learning curve at the Midtowns newest hangout Slider Inn at Cooper and Peabody is sliding into oblivion. Everyone wants this place to succeed despite its extreemly slow service and the apparent neglect by the otherwise successful restaurant owner Aldo DeMartino who lives just two blocks from the establishment. This place has it, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION just in the heart of an otherwise residential neighborhood. Walking distance to literally thousands of midtownees- they could serve frozen pizza and beer and do extremely well but for all concerned they have the damndest time getting even drinks to patrons. Is it the culture of the wait staff I must ask as they seem unaffected by customers who wait eagerly for any attention?? I say serve the lady a glass of wine- or whatever and the food orders can wait patiently. SMILE and take the sale- first impressions are indeed lasting. And if patrons must make it to the bar for service you should not be discouraged. Wait staff must sell themselves, they earn their living establishing rapport and are the truest representatives of their employer. Aldo please help this place, get rid of the old wait staff who rather be at their regular locals and get anxious bodys who want to make it happen here!!! Despite everthing you could actually screw this one up by not trying~

This place is superb! Their beers are out-of-this-world delicious! Every great city needs a great brew pub, and we are so very fortunate to have one in Boscos. Their food is excellent, and the service is always spot-on. Friendly barkeeps and locals really define the vibe of this place. Can't recommend it enough!
All I can say is WOW! This place is awesome! I have had more fun feebly attempting karaoke at this ace and the best part? No one cares how bad you are! The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but come on in and you'll have a blast! The Karaoke Jockeys are great but if it's busy, you might have to wait a little while to sing. I think those little slips of paper with your song request get our of sequence sometimes. I came here because I wanted to go somewhere other than Beale Street and I'm sure glad I did. After only going twice they remembered my name and my beverage and the crowd is absolutely some if the most fun, nice, and friendly people there are. I can't wait to go back!
BEST beer cheese soup I've ever tasted. On the days that they actually serve it, make sure you get there early in the lunch hour or they may be out. Spaghetti & Meatballs are very good. Simple & authentic. Service okay, but sometimes it seems like they're understaffed during crazy lunch hours. Owell, the food definitely makes up for it.
Great place to watch Memphis Tiger Basketball, St. Louis Cardinals, EAT, Gather with friends, including the owner and those that work there! Lvu y'all
Love Patrick's! The burger is the best in the city. I love the sourdough bun. The plate lunches are always good and affordable. My husband always gets the prime rib and it is to die for! We love to take out of town friends to Patrick's. It is Memphis' Best All Around Restaurant!
One of the best places in Memphis to eat! Affordable and Delicious!!
Love this place...We are going tonight for steak as we do every Tuesday night!
I had heard about this place and my boyfriend and I decided to check it out on a Tuesday night. They have a steak special that is $6.95 for ribeye, potatoe, salad and toast and it taste great. Tuesday is also open mic night and we always have a blast with that. The people are great and the vibe is welcoming. I recommend it to everyone. Oh yeah and you can't beat the $6.50 beer pitchers.
Place has been closed for a year or more.
Me and my bf have been to Alfreds twice so far..in the past couple weeks! Great food and awesome service. I ordered the Spinach dip..as I LOVE spinach dip..and it was absolutely the Best I've ever had! My bf orders the BBQ nachos with chicken both times we went..he said it was the best nachos he's ever ate. We will def be goin back there everytime we hit up Beale street. I'm sooo craving that spinach dip right now!
Who was on Beale Street Sunday night, April 10th? Did you see the white man in green at BB Kings, Club 152 or singing "When Doves Cry" @ Wet Willies? I don't know what made me follow him, but dat man iz da bomb! I think his name is Tommy T. Did anyone else see him? Dat MF could not have been more on fire had they doused him in gasolene first!
