First time being finding Ronnie's since the Poplar location closed been going to Ronnie's for 30 years and the Elfo still taste the same as it did many years ago. Our server was excellent very attentive and wonderful.

Re: “Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center

What a welcomed site this was to see in the middle of rural Arkansas where my daughter resides while she is in Teach For America and teaching Art to the 400 children of Earle Elementary. Such a wonderful gift this center is with free classes and teachings of ancient wisdom. So many can and will benefit from this centers offerings. I Am truly grateful this loving place has opened and is sharing meditation and yoga with the communities in this area.
All Ways with LOVE...Thank You

Re: “High Point Pinch

My friend celebrated her 50th Birthday party here and it was exquisite! Elegant, fun, and the band was amazing. This was definitely an evening that I will never forget. Her theme was Diamond and Denim! Fun for all ages!

Re: “Crepe Maker

I took my two grandkids to Crepe Maker last Saturday night. There were so many choices for entrees and deserts that we had to take a few minutes to study the menu. Next time we'll make our choices before hand from the menu on their website. Each of us ordered different entree and desert crepes and all of them were delicious. Once we started eating we couldn't put them down until we had eaten every bite. The desert crepes were fantastic and the service good. The weather was nice so we sat outside in their porch area and enjoyed the view. I really look forward to going back again.

Re: “Rock-n-Roll Cafe

My daughters and I visited Memphis in the beginning of July and were amazed by tribute artist Tim Rowland. Not only does he have a great voice, but he has great interaction with the audience members. He is definitely a gift to Graceland and all Elvis fans! Tim is definitely a headliner. We look forward to visiting again in the future and watching him perform our favorite Elvis songs. We love you, Tim!

Re: “David Johnson Designs

I went to David Johnson's designs and I seen one of the hairdressers there his name is Daniel I had Daniel cut my hair and afterwards I made appointment with Daniel so he could dye my hair blonde I came back two weeks later for my appointment and when I sat in his chair he already had a color that was mixed for me I asked him what's that he told me thats your color I said to him well Daniel I kinda wanted to look at your color chart and see what types of blonde i could choose from so then he got upset with me and looked at his watch and said to me I know what I'm doing and I said I never said you don't know what you're doing so I let him die my hair and when he was finished my hair came out green and white I gave him his money and I went home I called him on the phone and I said Daniel my hair looks green and white can you fix it for me he then start hollering and said what do you want me to do I told him calmly I wanted blonde hair and this is not blonde so daniel hollered n told me he does not want to deal with me and he wants me to come and pick up my money so the next day I went over to David Johnson's designs to pick up my money daniel gave me my money and hollered at me once again and told me to never come back here and I said that I would not then daniel said to me do you see the security guards outside the building there here for you and i was very shocked when he said that because I was nothing but calm when it came to dealing with daniel so i got escorted out of the building by security guards...... i im truly shocked on how daniel treats his customers at David Johnson's designs if you're looking to find a good hair salon David Johnson's designs is not a good place they are not professional at what they do and they are very rude you're wasting your money and your time

Re: “Belle Diner

Two stars for the food. It is good soul food but the service provided by "Joe' was severely lacking. He was rude and inconsistent. He was abusive to other servers and staff. When told about the strong smell of musty mildew he laughed and stated that we should just get used to it.

Re: “The Office@Uptown Cafe

Had the opportunity to dine there, the food and prices are very very good. Easy place to just sit- in look out the large windows or may be read a book and enjoy your meal whatever you select. Definitely will go back again. Barbra

Re: “Bar Louie

Really inattentive wait staff - It was quite unbeleavable - especially between 5:30 and 6:30pm - they all sat at a table by themselves and ignored the tables. We had to go ask for menus and drinks.
One one occassion, some one jooined our table and put in an order for a beer - the waiter hurried by and plunked down a bottle with out asking if they wanted a glass or anything to eat.
We have gone three times with small groups (4-7) and have had similar experiences. appitizors were either incredably balnd or so "hot" that they were close to impossible to eat.

Re: “Beauty Shop

I went to try Beauty Shop for the first time for their lemon ricotta pancakes and BLTA sandwich. I came to eat at Beauty Shop for Sunday brunch about half an hour after it opened. Lemon ricotta pancakes: burnt and no powdered sugar. BLTA sandwich with egg: only 1 egg, overcooked with little yolk left and burnt. Asked waitress if it's supposed to be 2 eggs while ordering (I've seen a picture posted by eatlocalmemphis.org where it shows as 2 eggs: http://www.eatlocalmemphis.org/2011/07/19/beauty-and-my-best-photo-ever/), the waitress said yes. Asked waitress after I received the dish about the number of eggs, then waitress said only 1 egg. After seeing the overcooked egg, I asked the waitress to tell the cook to recook the egg, egg ended up undercooked with little yolk and burnt again. The cook needs to clean his/her cooking surface. I did not receive the complimentary side (chips or fruit) with my sandwich either (as stated on the menu). When we asked the waitress that all sandwiches should come with a side, she quickly defended the restaurant by saying that the BLTA does not come with either chips or fruit, and added that they have ran out of chips (when the restaurant has barely started its day). Overall, this has been the worst brunch experience I have been to. I tipped the waitress well for helping me change the egg (as I felt that it was mostly the cook's fault, not hers), but I will never be going back.

Re: “Twelve Bar

I have been to 12 Bar several times since it opened. There is always a lively crowd but not the typical "loud" Beale Street scene. I always feel like I am stepping into an old speakeasy from the 20s. They have a great cocktail list with drinks you don't find at other bars in Memphis and they are always great. My personal Favorite is the Corpse Reviver. You must try the Duck Fat Fries they are AMAZING. I have also had the Memphis Soul Stew, which I have not seen anywhere else in Memphis and is really good.
This is becoming one of my favorite places to "escape" to downtown and I will definitely be back soon.
