best dinner I ever ate.
Warfield Concert Series is amazing. We are rewarded with their diversity and vision.
Been going here for years....grab the Friday coupon for BOGO dinners in the memphis flyer paper in the commercial appeal. Great peanut sauce on the salad....its good on the rice too....also its an older restaurant in Memphis but it sure beats alot of other new similar places they have out. The food is excellent and service is even better! The only thing is if you drink sodas....(meaning not water or tea)...they charge for each glass.
Anyway, overall they are still one of the best in Memphis.
We went for lunch, and enjoyed it! My husband had the roast beef sammie- delicious. The roast beef was the most tender, juiciest and least salty I have ever eaten. It included fontina cheese slivers and marinated onions that seemed to be pickled or preserved in a similar fashion. The sammie was not too dry. Just right. I had the boudin and pepper sandwich- also really yummy with a spicy zing. It included very delicious peppers and onions that were also marinated or pickled and tart, but unique from the onions on the roast beef choice. My husband's cappucino was great, and my Cafe Shepherd coffee treat was perfect. It is the restaurant's take on a Vietnamese coffee...chickory brew dripped slowly over a small layer of condensed milk. And then you can drink it warm as is, or pour it over ice. The friendly service and beautiful, classic decor were the cherries on top! I do wish they offered side items, but I also appreciate the simplicity of the menu! Go eat here!!
I am so happy that we have Carols Cheesecake in Midtown. This is an awesome, spectacular, & brilliant idea for new businesses like Carol's to thrive and provide much needed opportunities for expansion, growth & prosperity for this freshly renovated community.
This is not a $$ restaurant!
Valero Gas Company is polluting this park and the Memphis area, genocide
I've only been here one time and it's already my favorite ... The food is so much fresher than any other buffet that I've ever been to... They don't put out a pan stacked FULL of an item that tends to dry out... They put out smaller pans in order to keep it fresh....The waitress brought over a plate FULL of some craw fish and clams..They were both awesomely fresh....This place has the highest quality food .... I have never ever been a sushi fan until I ate here... YUM....Eat Well is a little more expensive than other buffets but you get what you pay for...Higher Quality Food.... This place is Delicious..
very interesting that a few of the posts on here backing tsg are from people who are no longer members. run away, run fast
RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL!!! The cook at the Winchester location needs a reality check. This big guy with the beard asked me to call the owner because we asked to change the TV because he wanted to watch a reality show that should have been rated R. There were older ladies, small children and a Pastor in the store but he didn't care. When I asked to use the remote to change the station, he replied Give me the remote, the customers don't run this store! In my opinion the customers should run from this store. Hope the owner does something fast!
The Broom Closet has the most affordable selection of magickal and spiritual items in Memphis. The store is run by 2 women who absolutely know what they are doing and are super helpful. They have a lot of workshops and events there too.
Fun place, pool tables, darts, great people, wonderful bands, and small area to dance. Good pizza and burgers.
You get a fifth star, when you have vegan cup cakes, please.
My organization had an event at The Bradford during which an exposed PVC pipe (believed to be out of code) was protruding from the wall in the room with the dance floor, and broke. The pipe began to heavily spout water into the room, which quickly flooded. The venue owner was present and turned the building's water off. The owner offered us a second, smaller, room in which to continue our event while the water in the first room could be cleaned up. About 10 minutes later, however the fire alarms in the building went off due to more water leaking into the system in the basement. The event guests evacuated the building and the fire department arrived determining that the pipe was out of code and that the alarm went off due to water leaking therefore there was no immediate danger. The organization's event coordinators made the decision to send all guests home (175 patrons) since the venue had no running water, or therefore plumbing. The venue owner stated to the event coordinators that the due to the incidents the night would be on her. Since the event, the venue owner only offered a "make up" event at The Bradford free of charge. She stated that this would have to be used by the same organization for the same event to be valid. Our organization does not want to hold the event a second time, and believes we deserve a monetary refund. The owner believes that since costs on her part were incurred during the event she does not owe us any refund. My organization believes that not only was the event cut short due to issues with the venue (we had to leave nearly halfway through our contracted time at the venue), but the terms and conditions promised in the contract were not met, and therefore our money should be returned to us regardless of the venue's event cancellation policy. Since the pipe did not break by the fault of an event attendee, and therefore is the liability of the venue, and the venue failed to provide running water and working plumbing, the amount paid by the organization to the Bradford should be refunded. The venue owner has since retracted her offer of an event credit at the venue, and now is threatening to assess all damages caused by the faulty plumbing (all plumbing repairs, flooring needing replacement, etc), and take my organization to court over this.
The venue owner throughout this process has been difficult to get in contact with and has changed her account of the incident significantly when speaking to representatives of our organization.
Superb food & exquisite service!
Love the music! I recommend this place to all.
E&O has quickly become my "go to place!" Great food, great service and bread pudding (and I don't normally care foor bread pudding!!!). Don't hesitate to ask your server for a recommendation, They know their food! Hard for me to stay away from this place.......
My food was excellent. Ribs just fell off the bones. Took a little time, but the music was so good and the food so good, you did not mind. The waiter we had was very personable and courteous. Have eaten there before and will ent anytime I have the opportunity. Sorry for those who had problems. I would recommend people try for themselves, different strokes for different folkes. The place sure has changed! First of all the phone number is different 901.522.4824 The food has changed too! Lee was awesome but the biscuits are now better! Some of the old favorites are still on the menu but there are a few great new options. The Chariot 'o fire is an awesome buffaloed chicken salad sandwich and the roasted vegetable sandwich will tempt you to give up meat forever.
Great place to sit and have drinks. I love the calamari appetizer too. Always had people come to check on me right when I sat down, so I have no idea what Bill was talking about... of course, I'm not a jerk to staff, and I do tip.
This is where the original Memphis Walk (pre-Jookin') dancers hang out. We rented it one night for a Nut ReMix cast party and Lil Buck danced with these fore-bearers of the art form. It was a stunning evening. Kids can't go because smoking is allowed, but you can catch some of the best REAL Memphis music in town here. Thank goodness it is still there.
