Re: “King Jerry Lawler's Hall of Fame Bar & Grille

Some of the best BBQ on Beale. Had a great atmosphere and the friendliest staff on Beale. Ribs are fork tender and the chicken wing are to die for. Absolutely will be back. Also has a great collection of Elvis memorabilia.

Re: “Soul Fish Cafe

Sunday night, crowded & loud a good place to go with a 3yo. Catfish was good. Not many places serve whole fish. Trout was on the thin side, would have been better broiled. The veggies were only warm, needed to be hotter along with the cornbread. Good service, did not wait long for food. Will go back after the new wears off and the kinks are worked out.

Re: “King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church

Hi this is Shelia Foster. My grandma was on the mother's board before she took ill. My husband proposed to me. My mama is on the usher board. I enjoy both of my grand kids. Their names are Jaylon James Thornton and Destiny Semay Thornton. I take amlodipine and lisinop for my high blood pressure. Hopefully I will see them one day. I do practice safe sex now but only with my husband. Trying to live a Godly life and not pass this liver condition I have contract ed.

Re: “King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church

Just one more thing, I pray to God to be hasty and return Allister Lashaye Foster, Destiny Lakeisha Foster. They are the two daughter's we both decided to put up for adoption. My wife came up with idea after witnessing me struggling day and night. She felt like her own family wouldn't make good candidates for our kids. Her own pass experience with her family is what's lead to our decision to find a loving home. I pray my son is going to be okay having to sleep with his mother in the same bed but this is what's money as done to my family. I'm homeless myself. Amen.

Re: “King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church

I proposed to my wife , Shelia Thornton, now Foster back in May of 1999. I sung in the choir for a short period. The whole congregation cheered me on as I took the mic and asked her for her hand in marriage. She said yes and I cried. Well took pictures but here brother destroyed them.

Re: “Gibson's Donuts

One of Memphis places to go. Their donuts are too too good. Terrific variety. Open late too. Seasonal surprises too. Made fresh very early each morning. In addition to super glazed, we like the caramel iced donuts and the apple fritters. Coffee makes it all go down even better.

Re: “Ultimate Ballroom

This is a relatively new ballroom dance studio in the Memphis area. The interior, decoration, the floor,... everything is beautiful. I went to their First Year Anniversary Party a few weeks back and was very impressed with their preparation and the execution of the event. Everyone seemed to have fun. I am sure their Halloween party will be a fun event, too. Check this out.

Re: “Temple of the Sacred Gift

The temple of the sacred gift is a warm, welcome, open minded community that serves the memphis area. They offer something unique that cannot be found anywhere else in memphis. They are organized, they are a real church that cares about it's members and doing good for the betterment of others, not just themselves. If you want to experience a pagan community and you are local, please send us a message or visit us one day. We love seeing new and familiar faces. Namaste!

Re: “Temple of the Sacred Gift

Before someone believes the slander of a few people (several here who do not even live in this town and are disgruntled former members asked to leave due to "ethical" reasons) please come and talk to our Clergy and Highpriestess Sonya Miller. I have found her to be directly opposite of every comment that is negative here! It sounds like these people have never ever met her or her husband.

We (the whole congregation) have worked tirelessly for four years to provide a building in a "safe" neighborhood that is a haven for all paths that are interested in "spiritual" pursuits (Anyone and all paths are welcome). We do not require people to pay any money to come to services, we do not pass an offering plate...but Our members take individual pledges not to us(but to their God/Goddess/Source) or stated anywhere to support financially the Temple.

My husband and I pay much of the costs out of our own pocket (we have not had a salary ever from our church we did not found it for that reason) we put up our own house as collateral for the first two years, and used it once again to help us get credit for the first building we acquired to worship in. Yes, the "inner core" or clergy are expected to do much they are clergy (not kings and queens and the members treated as less than) "Of whom much is given; much is required". The higher up you work in our congregation the more is expected of you in time and man hours I assumed people who became Clergy (servants of the people) would know this. Our CLERGY serve the people, it is not the other way around. We serve the whole city of Memphis, we are Clergy to people everywhere and constantly "in service" and we are honored to be so.

Yes, we do not want to worship in a park, or borrow someone's back yard...Yes, we want people to take our spiritual path seriously;ask yourself, why do others have a problem with that? I pray, that you listen to your heart;.and ask questions no matter what path you choose to walk, and remember in the end we all end up in the same destination;that is why We say: Harm ye none, and Love is the law!

PLEASE come and visit our wonderful Temple. Where the God and Goddess are represented; and the people of the Temple are on "fire" for this city; and are making a difference every day!

Re: “Temple of the Sacred Gift

Temple of the Sacred Gift is a wonderful place to take your family. They are family oriented and care about the people who are there. They care more than any other Pagan church in the area. They even have a Chartered AA group. They spend their time and money so that people like me can worship in peace.

Re: “Temple of the Sacred Gift

Temple of the sacred gift has been literally a gift to the memphis community. This is the most organized, real group I have seen. And there are plenty of chances to come to their church building and get to know them for yourself.

Re: “Temple of the Sacred Gift

When I began looking for a pagan outlet in memphis, the temple of the sacred gift (tsg), were the only people who were willing to talk to me. They have the best website for anyone seeking a place online. It is really what led me to reaching out to tsg. The only other group I could find wanted me to pay for access to their website before anyone would respond to my inquiries. Since going to tsg, everyone has been extremely friendly and easy going. I have loved every minute with these unique people. They do nothing but work for their members and bend over backwards to teach us. And what is absolutely amazing is that they walk the walk of what they teach. There should be more places like tsg in this world.

Re: “Temple of the Sacred Gift

The Temple of the Sacred Gift is a very unique church in our community. It is a legal, 501(c)3 nonprofit, Wiccan church. And the only one in Memphis. It is a great, family friendly place for Pagans in the area to meet other like minded individuals and learn. While the church rituals follow a Wiccan format, all members walk their own individual paths and traditions, and are encouraged to do so. There is no right and wrong here. The church also supports the local community and it is open for everyone no matter where you fall under the term Pagan, no matter your age, race, preference or orientation. This is truly the most open minded group I have ever seen. Why else would I stick around for 3+ years!

a loving, accepting place. There are some sour people who left and are cyberbullying TSG. Don't listen to them.
