just ate here today and was highly disappointed. The red beans and rice was nothing more than chilli and rice, it is not a creole recipe at all...my friends over-priced cheeseburger came out burnt to a crisp and for $10.95 for a burger you expect more...the service was horrendous.....i do not recomend this resturant to anyone wanting to dine on beale street!
The last time I enjoyed great food like this was in Jamaica. The pork tenderloin in the rum glaze was FANTASTIC. The wings were amazing. The grilled shrimp was so good I want to jump back in my car and go back there tonight! The bread pudding will make you cry. I think this was the best meal I have had anywhere in years. Our waitress was Tamara and she was great. We met a guy named Tony in the back from Jamaica who was so nice and made some wonderful drinks. One was a non alcoholic drink made with hibiscus that was wonderful. Bahama breeze had nothing on this place.
great after-hours bar. great bartender and the best food! try the chicken fingers tossed in hot wing sauce...
Awesome! Really great place to eat and hang out! The atmosphere is pleasant. Decent prices too! Carrie Vance is a wonderful waitress and on top of everything, especially for our big party of people.
I honestly do not see how this place stays in business. When this location opened a few years ago, the service was very efficient, professional, and friendly.
However, in the last year it has fallen of a cliff. My friend and I ordered and it took a half hour for 1 of our entrees to be servied. His was served and mine wasn't brought to me for 12 more minutes. I asked the waiter about the slow service (in a mostly empty restaurant) and he JUST STARED AT ME WITHOUT SAYING A WORD. I was appalled. I contacted the corporate office. I also spoke to a female on the phone who claimed to be the manager. She sounded as if she had just woke up but she was apologetic. I was sent a gift card for a free meal and so went back a few weeks later. THE SERVICE WAS JUST AS BAD! The cashier acted as if she was offended that we were even there. And, again, my friend's food was served to him first while I had to wait a solid 10 minutes later to get mine. I will not be going back. EVER.
THE MEMPHIS GO CLUB PLAYS GO (weiqi) EVERY SUNDAY 1-5PM AT CHEFFIE'S CAFE. COME PLAY WITH US....
Great Eatery! Very nice area to eat inside or outside. They have an awesome patio too. Chicken Nachos are Excellent.
Roll in on a laid-back night, order a Dark & Stormy (rum+ginger beer) or a cold Red Stripe, get the cabbage or spinach appetizer, have another drink, enjoy the music - usually reggae but always interesting, then savor the incredible Kingston Fish Stew. More drinks, then bread pudding. What's not to like? Live music on Wednesdays, closes at 8 on weeknights.
Bringing some great food to the area between Midtown and Downtown. I love this place. Definitely going back for the Salmon and Grits!
Interesting, delicious, high-quality food at a great price in a cool location. This is one of the best lunch spots in town and they've recently added a full bar. The owners are really nice and everyone is treated well. It's a positive atmosphere and a hip place to be. I'm really not sure what else people would want. I love it and I hope they have many more wonderful, successful years ahead of them.
The food is phenomenal! The environment was awesome and the service was excellent! I met the owners and they are awesome!!!!!!!! I could go there everyday to eat!!

I been to Onix several times each time i really enjoyed myself even the owner give me free drink for my bday the staff always nice..
GREAT bartenders!!! Wonderful hospitality. YUMMY food and a great scene for memories, games, and interacting with friends and friendly strangers. LOVE Bayou!
Rudness by the entire staff is totally unacceptable
I have been to Loose Goose a number of times, primarily because of the reasonable cost to get in to watch the fights, and the great deal on beer. However, the food there is terrible. Yes, typical bar food maybe, but having tried more than a handful of things on the menu, nothing is satisfactory. Additionally, when I was there this past weekend (after waiting 20 mins for a water refill and then another 15 for my check), I ran to the bathroom before I left. As I was finishing the owner and 2 of her friends came in, and the owner began to say how disgusting women are "get glasses girls", and things like that. As I tried to open my stall door, they blocked me in so they could hug, and once I was able to get past them to wash my hands, they blocked me once again. I left furious. I have never had a manager of an establishment, much less the owner, be so blantantly rude. We have tried to give this place a chance but after so much disappointment I believe we will be going back to our normal places.
Coffee House is a fun way to spend a Wednesday night..... (1st Wed. each month) Come check it out and bring something artsy to share!! Hugs, Debi
