Good food and friendly venue. BUT DO NOT go here if you have limited time, because your order will take longer than you are accustomed to.
First reviewer may have been having a bad day. I have never been unhappy with my order at The Arcade. The service is admittedly not warm, but it's passable. I will not venture to comment on the size of the booths, except to say that I have eaten breakfast with two average size adults and two very wiggly young grandsons, and have no complaints about the amount of room.
Fun concept and good food. It is also one of my favorites down town. The food is good and not too pricey. The brunch is nice on the weekends. Ordering off the menu instead of some overwhelming buffet, meets my needs perfectly.
There Saturday nite. We had burgers & red beans & rice. The food was very good! The service was excellent!! Our waitress was very friendly, attentive & fast! Band - WoodStomp, not so good! But, we will be back! They have a lot of good bands lined up!!
Good fresh food at great prices. This place has been around a while and has a following. cute decorum and friendly management.
After a few years of not going to Bombay House, as I preferred India Palace, I was in the neighborhood one day and decided to give the lunch buffet another try. I was glad I did! The food is EXCELLENT, although some foods might be a bit too spicy for my preference. But the standouts abound, and are: The NAAN! I saw someone else comment on this, and I must say, this IS the BEST Naan I have ever had! I love the extra thin, crispy, buttery, garlic version Bombay delivers straight from the oven to your table! SUPERB! There is an abundant display of exquisitely-prepared entrees, vegetables and desserts that top off the fare. Of particular enjoyment are the chicken wings and mango pudding, which was also highlighted in a previous post. You KNOW it must be great if 2 DIFFERENT posters highlight it!
The only minor complaint I have is that I am spoiled by the inpeccable service at India Palace, and while the people are VERY nice and accomodating at Bombay House, I do, sometimes have to ask for refills on my water and Chai. Again, a minor inconvenience when the food is so wonderful. DEFINITELY worth the visit for their lunch buffet.
Very nice restaurant with a wide variety on the menu. Their Tiramisu is wonderful and their pasta dishes are very tasty. I love the atmosphere!
We go there for one thing and that is the prime rib. They have great side salads and I love the bacon dressing. The staff is always nice and friendly, but the wait staff can be slow and we never go during busy times.
We like Hueys. Great place to watch baseball. We aren't drinkers so we have to depend on the food. They have a great steak sandwich and french dip.
I like their food and have been in several around the country. I think the best thing on the menu is their huge appetizer sampler. It is a fun place to go and see rock and roll artifacts and listen to great music besides.
Home cooks food atmosphere with lots of love!
There is not alot in Memphis, but I really like Onix. Friendly staff and the food is great as well! You can't complain with the 3 for 1 drink special as well. Small and cozy, but sometimes i wish there was more space to sit and chill. Overall, great place to be!
Great service and atmosphere! The food was fresh and delicious. A little hard to find parking on the street, but that is standard in the Cooper-Young area. We will definitely go back and try the pizza. Looked like great selections.
Good pasta, excellent clam chowder. A nice-looking place.
Love this place...lots of fun and great food. Martinis are a bit pricey, but good special on import beer on import night.
Best Indian food in Memphis. The lunch buffet is always a treat.
I really enjoyed it. Traci our server was excellent, check with us often yet not overly bearing. The sports screens were large and you can see the scores from a distance. The lighting set a warm and relaxing mood.Reservering 5 stars for return visit and eating from the entree menu
Perhaps the best Vietnamese food overall in Memphis. Huge spring rolls, ample, even large helpings, great soups, etc...... Nothing to complain about here.
So happy to have a Vietnamese restaurant on this side of town! While the food is very good, the prices can be a bit steep. But it is an upscale Vietnamese restaurant for this part of the city. No complaints with the food, just the prices being a tad too high.
We love this place. Fresh ingredients, extensive menu, well stocked bar, huge dinner portions, attentive service and a wonderful atmosphere. If you haven't had the pleasure, you are truly missing something special. Priced right! Just super! Dee and Cil
