Re: “Mister B

I ate here last month, And about 4-5 times overall in the past 2yrs The food is always really good.I had their famous pork chop my last visit. On my last visit I had to ask other wait staff for assistance. My waitress was too busy planning her wedding on the job to wait on me and my girlfriend.

Re: “Cafe Eclectic

They have the best breakfast in the city. Eggs done to perfection. Their bread is excellent, coffee, and service is excellent. Everything is fresh.

Re: “Rock-n-Roll Cafe

We saw Joe on Dec 26, 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed his show and all of the great stories he told and of course his singing. I would like to have Kim call me in regards to a purchase I made and would like a replacement. I have called and left messages several times and yet no call back. We live in Louisiana so we just can't drive back up there to fix the purchase. Thank you.

Re: “Bardog Tavern

In my opinion, this is the gastropub concept done right. That is, create a great bar first. Check. Even without a menu, this would be one of the best bars in town. Solid wood, dim lighting, heavy on the liquor, plenty of chalkboard cocktail and beer specials, and bartenders who are more like pro drinkslingers than maƮtre d's.

Then, create a simple bar menu that doesn't try to be too clever. One that, instead of laboring to impress me with its cute, creative, heavy-handed versions of traditional bar fare, takes traditional bar fare and knocks it out of the park. Don't get me wrong. I'm all for a fancy grilled cheese with pancetta and goat cheese and white truffle garlic pomme frittes. But sometimes I just want a *really freakin' great grilled cheese.*

Bardog seems way more concerned with delivering the latter, and less with putting their special little cheffy stamp on every dish. Example: their French fries. Potatoes. Oil. Salt. No fancy spices, no flavored drizzles, no pretense. And yet, best fries in Memphis. Try them and see if I'm nuts.

Way to go, Bardog.

ps. Minus one-star for the smokiness that sometimes makes the place semi-uninhabitable on weekend nights. But whatever. I'll get over it. It's a bar.

I have been to crescent city several times and though the service isnt great at collierville the food is always great. After a few trys at collierville and not loving the service, I went to the location on ridgeway. What a difference! The service there is so much better and the food is still wonderful. Im glad I discovered the ridgeway location because i really do enjoy the food. I suggest those who didnt like the collierville location try the one on ridgeway. You wont be disappointed

Re: “Central BBQ

The BBQ nachos are fantastic and the full order is big enough for two people. The dark beer on tap is great. Their dry ribs are to die for! Everyone working here are super friendly. I've eaten here several times and will definitely return.

Re: “Bombay House

Could not believe there wasn't a review of this popular Indian restaurant on Germantown Parkway. The food is excellent, with a broad menu. There are lots of vegetarian items for those that won't select the non-vegetarian dinner (one of our favs). The Lamb is excellent. They have a small, but adequate wine list to accompany your dishes, and several desserts to put out the fire if you ordered your food spicy. I usually go mild to medium as my wife doesn't like things too spicy. Their service is good, they try to make your dinner an enjoyable one. The buffet on Sunday is good value.

Re: “Celtic Crossing

Yes the food is really good. The beer is excellent (Guinness trained even). And the atmosphere is wonderful. But why, oh why am I sitting in an Irish Pub, watching Premiere League Football, when the idiotic DJ begins playing freakin' RAP!!!!! WTF!!!!
Try asking for some Drop Kick Murphys or Floggin Molly, or Cheiftans, or the Pogues, I could go on, and I did with the DJ (little squirrelly looking guy with Harry Potter glasses), to which his answers were generally "who?"

Fix the music problem on weekend nights, otherwise a great place.

Re: “R.P. Tracks

I have a soft spot in my heart for RP tracks. IT is a college bar, but man the food is good. Try the Chil dog, or heck anything on the menu.

Re: “Silky O'Sullivan's

For Beal street food, its very very good. I can not be complety objective as my meals have always been accompied by a drink served in a bucket "silky's famous diver" One of the better places down town to hang out and get a drink. Really three different bars in one, the piano bar, the oyster bar, and the outdoor bar.
