If you are looking for a nice Hibachi eating place. This is a great choice. I enjoyed my dinner here. The food and service was great and so were the other customers at our table.
P.S. Hours are great and ambiance is too. Just need to enlarge portions
One of the best bars in Memphis. Not overly expensive. And as stated above, $4 tip for 4 people's food and drinks!? Do you normally tip 5%? You are a serious A-hole. They definately don't need your business. The place is always hopping. I'm glad the waitress told you off.
Humdingers is now one of my FAVORITE local restaurants! The food is always incredibly fresh, fast, and delicious. I love the casual atmosphere and reasonable prices; and personally, my favorite item is the Mahi Mahi sandwich w/ Asian Slaw (on the side, on top of the sandwich, everywhere!!).
My only complaint would be that both locations are so far away from the "heart" of Memphis! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that their next expansion brings them to the midtown/downtown area!
BEST dry ribs in Memphis. Wings are awesome! Pulled prok is a little dry, but the 3 sauce options are all killer.
Went to Lunchbox for lunch last week and was quite happy! My friend absolutely loved the Smoking Bird, and I thought the chicken salad sandwich was one of the best in the city. Only dislikes for my dish was the cornbread on which the sandwich came - although delicious, it was impossible to eat like a sandwich as it was a fairly small & crumbly surface for so much yummy filling.
Also, I can't recommend sitting on the high stools as I almost fell off a few times. Not sure if they are trying to get folks to come in and out quickly, but those chair are awfully uncomfortable for dining! Make yourself cozy at a "low" table and enjoy - this is one restaurant that definitely deserves neighborhood support to stay around for a long long time!!
Joe your show was awesome, we were the ones from Indiana and saw your show on Sept 29 th. Your show made our trip so much better. We laughed and cried, and we are still talking about your show.
I love the more traditional Italian food and casual comfortable atmosphere. I'm a bar sitter and the new bar is great, it's a great spot if your dining alone or with a couple of people and you want a good meal and a nice glass of wine.
A very classy and traditional-looking English tearoom. The service is very good and the food is even better. I was very impressed on my recent visit. The pastie was a bit unconventional, but excellent. The red pepper soup was outstanding.
Went to dinner Wednesday evening. I had the stuffed chicken breast entree and it was incredible, as was the caeser salad. I highly recommend this restaurant in this historical church with a beautiful dining room, to anyone who is looking for a great meal at an affordable price . Enjoy!
I had a great time. The music was really good, the crowd was welcoming and the drinks were good. I thought the service was a little slow (it wasn't too crowded) but the wait staff was so friendly I didn't mind. I was visiting Memphis and felt right a home at this place. I would definitely come again. I didn't really eat, only ordered french fries and they were greasy (but what do you expect with french fries? :)
Had a great Saturday morning breakfast here. Fresh home-made bread/toast, real hash browns, fresh veggies in my omelet. We'll be back.
I had lunch with a colleague at the Poplar & Kirby location. Outstanding food, great service, and everything was brought to the table extremely fast! My ‘Thai Cashew’ chicken was perfectly spiced per my “Spicy” request; my colleague's dish was just as impressive. Now to take the wife...
Enjoy the antipasto (done right!). At this cozy Midtown spot, fine dining is as it should be: perfect service paired with a leisurely pace that's never slow. This all compliments the wide array of hard-to-find wines and authentic (far as I can tell) menu items. Bravo, Bari--you've come a long way in the past 8-10 years you've been around.
Love this spot every time we go, especially the shrimp dish they serve at lunch and all the fish available on their dinner menu. Located in an old home and decorated with an eclectic style just as someone might if they lived there--this is a great date restaurant. It feels special but isn't as expensive as many similar dinner places. Staff is experienced and attentive except for one guy who must be the owner's son or something.
Dinner was perfect. Started with Toasted Ravioli (excellent), I got the New York Strip and my wife got the Chicken Parm, we split them and both were excellent.
A little on the pricey side but great night out.
2nd best BBQ in Memphis. Building needs updated.
Really good place to eat. Small dining room means long wait. It is worth it.
What can you say. I've eaten at Chili's in 6 or 7 cities and it is always good food and good service.
Best food on Beale. Service isn't the best due to volume of customers. Eat there every time we go to Beale
