If you haven't tried DeJavu you haven't tried true Cajun food in Memphis.
Lauren: If there are any left, they'll be here:
Does anyone know if/where one could buy a ticket??
If dining at kooky canooks after 10 pm tip is automatically added to your bill no matter what service you get. Our service was terrible, the manager would not come to our table when requested and they did not inform us of the extra charge for switching fries for onion rings. Then on their site they do not offer an email to send complaints to the owner.
You guys have it all wrong!
Silky O'Sullivan's ---BEST Pub, Best Patio, Best BBQ, Best bartender, THE MOST FUN........and your own "Silky" as the BEST EVER Ambassador for MEMPHIS!!!!

Best Pornogtraphy and sex toy place:
Paris Adult Movie Theater on Summer Avenue.
I agree with most of the top three's. However, I cannot fathom how Pete and Sam's was in the top 10, much less #1. That place was so bad I walked out of it. As for Bensinger's, they have the worst customer service I have ever witnessed at a dry cleaning establishment.
There is no good Mexican food in Memphis, none.
What happened to "The Local Gastro" hamburger ?
As Chris stated, winning has a lot to do with marketing. Not seeing Frank's Deli in the Best Sandwich section is a shock while Lenny's is on there. But then again, do I want people clogging up the line at Frank's?
Probably sleeping right now.
Where is best bartender?
Pete and Sams is Italian, provided you pronounce it Eye-talian. It's good for what it is and doesn't try to be something it isn't.
Smitty's was robbed again for Best Spa. People, wake up! We're gonna end up in Bloomberg's Stankiest City.
Thanks for the info. I think I found the address - 3970 Jackson.
Get some tofu and take a nap.
"Vera Cruz" I mean. Someday I will feel human again, I hope. Nice party last night all.
In my Best of Hangover haze I wrote that it was on summer but Veta Cruz is on Jackson. Across the street more or less from 7 Mares. In a strip center. Taco stand usually set up on the sidewalk like Tacos Borolas does on the weekends. Cant name the nearest cross street just yet. A tofu buffet at the Pho Hoa may help me remember.
Do you have any more info on Vera Cruz? All I can find is a really crappy FB page that doesn't even have an address.
Adding, the original location was always better, and people forget that .
But Las Delicias are better at marketing and that counts. The chips at Vera Cruz on Summer are almost identical, and better perhaps, but you can't buy them at the grocery. And "Best" isn't just about food quality, it's about an overall impression and Las Delicias-- crummy service and all-- makes a big one. Also, best charro beans in town, hands down. That said I drove all over Getwell, American Way, and through Hickory Hill yesterday on a taco-tasting mission. We're spoiled right now with an abundance of good authentic choices.
Memphians should not be voting on Mexican food. Las Tortugas got robbed. Las Delicias is so-so tex-mex at best.
