One, I think the Republican party will dance to Trump's fiddle as long as he plays.
Two, I think it highly unlikely Trump will finish his first term, if elected. Something will bring him down - either his charity scams or his Trump University scam or his Russian mafia connections, or he will slap an injured soldier.
If John Kasich is to be believed, the Trump campaign offered him the veep spot with the promise of having all the real power, as Trump isn't interested in being president so much as playing president. Which, if true, makes Pence's statement of admiration for Dick Cheney quite illuminating, as well as chilling.
If you are voting for Trump, I hope you really like Mike Pence because that's who you are really voting for.
Trump merits nothing but "nasty," Clyde. And Cohen, a liberal? Nope, just fairly rational, if superannuated. Every day, the obits claim another Trump voter. That my friend, is a very good thing.
Actually, this seems a well reasoned piece if you exclude the obvious nasty tone for Trump which the liberal author obviously cannot hide nor which allows him to be objective and the wishful thinking that Hillary's policies would be successful.
Each day brings us closer to a Trump presidency which may not be a good thing but at least Hillary will be gone.
Good luck Jason! I know your dad is proud.
That "Marxist trash heap" is the Heritage Foundation, nightcrawler. Yeah, yeah, I know, don't bring facts to an debate based on emotion.
@nick. thanks (lol) - I read each of them and would love to hear what he thinks on this issue before I comment on their babble.
Trump will win Tennessee with or without my vote.
I think the Libertarians could have ran a much better candidate than Gary Johnson, but that's another story for another day. Needless to say, Johnson will not be getting my vote.
The Clinton Slush Fund (aka The Clinton Global Initiative - who even top Democrats have asked Hillary and Bill to shut down), the email scandal, health issues and the well documented seedy past history aside, I could never in good conscience cast my vote for a woman who looked the families of the slain in Benghazi and lied to them saying an obscure Internet video caused their deaths and the U.S. Gruberment was going to rain down hard on the video maker. 'Nuff said.
Stein? Green Party? Nope.
So, that leaves me with either sitting this election out or voting for Trump. I guess I'll cast my vote for Trump because he does say he'll toss the Marx-Gruber-Obama Healthcare & Citizenry Control Act back into the Marxist trash heap from whence it came. And, that alone is enough motivation for me to go vote on November 8th.
Whatever happens after January 20th, 2017 will just happen.
Well isn't that special.
I got a million of 'em.
Bobby Whitlock in Starkville, MS in a 5000 seat hall with a crowd of 50. We drank beer with Bobby in the "dressing room" until very late that night. I promoted the show and with "Derek and the Dominos" under his belt you would have expected better. Bobby was a real gentleman.
I was at that GG Allen show, too. Horror show. Chris, didn't you video tape it?
dat, (I think he wants us to see his tinyurl)
Always nice to have a vehicle with good ground clearance and a couple of firearms with high capacity magazines. You never know what you may run into or have to run over as a matter of self preservation. Kidding, sort of...
Well, we haven't had a world war in a while.
Looks like folks are working up to it gradual like.
I think all the Trumpees have to do is to remind the working class, a sizable segment of their backers, is to remind them that Clinton was pushing the affordable care act 25 years ago, back when there was a glimmer of a chance for a single payer system.
Philipp, what are you trying to say?
That GG Allin show was horrifying. I was there to see Steve on some other business. One "fan" was there and had driven hundreds of miles to see it. He had a sheet of visqueen folded over him and taped down the sides, looking like a Shoney's plastic hand puppet they used to give to kids. The band was all LA heavy metal types with the hair and bedazzled jeans. They were pretty tight and crunchy. I felt sorry for them. The only tour gig they could get. Chris Walker's band Black Like Me opened and were actually pretty good. At one point Allin was butt naked and on his knees picking up poop with his mouth and spitting it. His actual time on stage performing was 6 minutes and 47 seconds. It seemed much longer.
Clyde, it's like the Donald's lawyers say, "Prove it"
The DNC never admits it is wrong. It would never remove Hillary. If it were willing to admit it was wrong, she wouldn't be the nominee but wearing an orange jumpsuit.
From the same graduating class of broadcast journalism as Andrew Clarksenior. Must've had the same THEE-atre class, or studied together in the LI-Berry.
