EP #6 The writers cut it off in mid-gunfight because there's a twist.
During a lull in the shooting, Walter says if the Aryans spare Hank and Gomey, he will cook for them. Jesse, meanwhile, escapes into the desert.
The Aryans can't afford to let Hank and Gomey live, so execute them.
The Aryans take Walt hostage and he cooks, not knowing Hank and Gomey are dead.
Jesse tells Skylar Walt has been kidnapped. She goes to Saul. She wants out. Saul gets her and family vacuumed up and sent to New Hampshire.
But Junior finds out, maybe from Jesse, about his dad.
EP #7 Junior returns from New Hampshire in effort to find Dad.
Walt believes his family is held hostage, and so cooks.
DEA goes nuts looking for Hank and Gomey's killers, and although they've got no real leads, they do dig around and find the money.
Junior tracks down Jesse to try to find where Dad is captive.
Junior killed by Todd who's guarding the cook site.
Marie goes berserk trying to find any of the Whites. She knows who Jesse is, leading to possible involvement in trying to keep Walt Jr. from involvement.
Walt gets Todd up to speed, and is allowed to leave the cook site. He does not know Todd had killed Junior. He finds out when he takes the vacuum-cleaner's ride to NH.
EP#8 Walter, now a public enemy, embarks on a suicidal return to take revenge on the Aryans.
Jesse has cut a deal with the gov't and is living with Andrea, whom he fills in on the truth about Brock's poisoning.
Hearing Walt is back in town, Jesse goes out to find him.
And then... and then....
Don't forget Lydia's obsession with Stevia (the powdered sweetener). She pays the Nazi's, needs a cook, and probably would meet with Walt. Switching ricin with Stevia (a white powder) for a girl who's obsessed with drinking her hot herbal tea is a scene I've been waiting for....
The show has managed to fool us all along and the last episode was no exception. We *expect* that Hank was killed in the volley of gunfire, but the characters have relied on luck and intervention before and it will happen again.
Hank did seem to get behind the car to shield himself. (Maybe Gomez is doomed; he's sadly kinda expendable). I think there will be a cease-fire, and Walt will demand that the goons spare Hank and Jesse - or he won't cook for them. I just can't see Hank and Jesse being killed off with two episodes left. Walt *still* considers Hank as family and Jesse as a kid in over his head.
So the Aryans take Walt, and the last two episodes deal with, among other things, Walt's escape from them. And will he ultimately use the heavy artillery to wipe them out and then use the ricin on himself? Probably not! Because that's exactly what we expect, and this great show has been at least a step ahead all along.
Wishful thinking: A "few years later" epilogue where Jesse has become a high school teacher, advising smartass kids to wise up.
A course correction on my prediction. I've been thinking and praying on this a lot, y'all.
I think Uncle Jack/Nazis die/get taken out of the picture, maybe in the desert. Maybe Walt kills them with poisonous gas. (I like your comment, Oceana, and agree Hank is complicit in his fate at this point, though I think hate is too strong a word, and Marie is still the most virtuous adult on the show.)
Without a cook, the Euros/Lydia come back in the picture to force Walt and maybe Jesse back into the business. They are the ones who knock on the door of the Whites and wreck things with finality. It's the Euros and Lydia that the big gun is for at the end.
two of my thoughts: 1) Jessie had said regarding Walt "whatever you think is going to happen, the reverse opposite happens" (yes, double negative). That's why Jessie nixed the plaza meetup. But he proposed this alternate scenario to get Walt to the money. So don't you think that Jessie thought of a backup plan for this? He knew that Walt put a hit on him, and by calling Walt out to the desert and being there, wouldn't he think that Walt would have something planned to take out Jessie? And maybe Jessie wants Hank to be killed - after all Hank beat him up pretty bad. Yes, I think Jessie has something up his sleeve here.
2) secondly, is it possible the Nazis are NOT really trying to kill Hank and Gomie? Maybe disarm them by having them use all their bullets, tieing them up or sending them into the desert, and then Todd & Crew take and imprison Jessie and Walt, to cook for them.
Hank and Gomez will die at the beginning of the next episode and Todd will die towards the end when he tries to coerce Walt into coming back. Maybe by poisonous gas. Hank IMO is despicable for turning on Walt so I want him to die. I've come to hate both him and Marie, so I think Vince wanted us to hate them so that we'd be glad Hank died and Marie suffered his death.
I just don't see every last family member dying.
In the final episodes, Gommie is killed and Hank is mortally wounded in the shootout. On his deathbed, Hank tells Marie about the trace on Walt’s phone as he dies, and she relays the info to the DEA. Walt is exposed and has to use Saul’s contact to move to New Hampshire before he can cook one last time for Todd’s uncle. A few months later, in New Hampshire, Todd’s uncle’s white supremacist network, whom have been looking for Walt for payback, start catching up to the White family. In the final episode, Walt returns to Albuquerque to kill Todd’s uncle. Walt succeeds in killing everyone except for Todd, who kills Walt in the series finale and is left to start his own empire.
There is absolutely no way that Marie kills Skyler or that Holly dies. Holly will end up with Marie. Walt Jr. will end up dead, probably of a blue meth OD with Louis in a depression over the death if his mother and the disappearance of Walt Sr. Walt comes back to get revenge on Todd and the nazis for killing Skyler in an attempt to extort the recipe from him and In the process makes Jesse a hero for exposing the entire operation and bringing down blue meth and Lydia for good. Walt kills himself with the ricin after allowing Jesse to turn him in. The series ends with Marie tucking Holly safely into bed and Jesse, redemeed, knocking on his parents door and stepping into his father's embrace.
Good lord what a list. Memphis' contribution to jazz has been phenomenal, and Phineas is at the top of that list by far.
Furry, and who are these people, that think they know Memphis and its Music?
Yes, hank and gomey are dead.. (unless the writers suddenly lost their balls) cuz if they get out alive, it will be reminiscent of every Ateam episode you've ever seen. 9 bad guys with assault rifles, the higher ground, and cover, are defeated by the good guys with a Beretta and a gauge. Not sure what else is next....but have a feeling Sol plays a part...
It would be odd to make the final confrontation be with secondary characters (Todd and the Aryans). They may serve as a catalyst for bring Walt and Jesse back together in a tentative alliance, but if the show ends with a confrontation with those guys, it would seem out of place to me.
Assuming Hank's dead - and he better be - the show pretty much has to end with the final resolution of the Walt/Jesse story, whatever that may be.
I don't see the "Todd/Lydia" thing progressing. He's just way too far out of her league. I think it was just a moment of "wishful thinking" on Todd's part. And if Todd survives the onslaught, I don't see him cooking if either Walt or Jesse are around.
Todd doesnt die because they wouldn't have bothered with that semi smoldering scene between him and Lydia - the lipstick on the coffee cup that he traces with his finger. Somehow, a romantic relationship between them will be pivitol to how things go down. I predict that the Czech buyers will be involved somehow...ricin put in the meth poisons that whole market, czechs look for revenge?
I found it supremely ridiculous. I will be very disappointed if Hank and Gomie make it out alive. Not because I want them dead, but for the sake of realism.
I found it supremely ridiculous. I will be very disappointed (not because I want Hank to die, but for realism sake) if Hank and/or Gomie make it out of there alive. Also, is it just me, or has Heisenberg already died? I think that we now see Walt again every time we look at this man on screen. His screaming at Hank and then Jack from the car almost made me feel as gut wrenchingly sorry for him as I did at the end of "Crawl Space"
Did anyone else find it kinda ridiculous that the auto-weapons assault delivered by the Neo's didn't appear to hit either Hank or Gomey, who were standing out in the open? Really? Turn in your NN card, dudes.
There was a scene shown with Walt getting attacked in jail in the previews before the last 8 episodes so you couldn't be right
Great point, Seth. In my mind it's been a ricin cigarette, but you're right, it's a vial. Does Walt Jr. accidentally sprinkle it on his breakfast cereal, thinking it's sugar? (That's a joke, not a prediction.)
