Hmmm.. Progressive? I guess...
But I'm not sure what they mean by 'not prioritizing professors of color' at the U of M. They are trying to hire as many minority PhD's at the University of Memphis as they can find. The problem is supply of that item, not demand. Demand is out the roof. You want a job? Get a freaking PhD, man. The world is your oyster.
Here's some actual, you know, DATA about the ethnic diversity there:
It's above the national average. So....
I switched channels, then went back only to see Dedric foul out in overtime. Turned away to come back to an overtime win. Oy Vey, this team is going to give me an anxiety attack this season.
Yeah, that is true. Good luck with that.
As far as the protest against the new President, shouldn't these kids have something concrete to protest against before they actually start protesting?
Or maybe its just a lot of fun on a Friday to get out and march and be seen with other kids. Get some attention and maybe get your picture in the paper, too. I can see that angle also.
it is ok to peacefully protest. It is an avenue for people to express their concerns. Now, as to issuing a list of demands, good luck with that one.
If at first it doesn't work, try try again.
Truly, conspiracies are for chorns and druggies. Shakespeare be damned.
Who is Alex Jones, and why do you like her so much, datGuy?
I'm not a big fan of someone deciding to give my hard earned money away to another citizen without my input, but I also don't think a self promoting blowhard like Roland has any other motive than putting himself out there again so he has as much visibility as he can muster when he runs for county mayor.
If I don't drive where will the trees get their CO2? No trees, what's there to hug? Think about it.
ArlingtonPop , your level headed conservatism is out of style, perhaps you better be careful too.
Everybody hates us and always have, eh FUNK?
One of the few times we are in agreement. By what theory of government does Mr. Roland demand a seat on a public utility belonging to another political entity?
As you imply, we in the county are customers, not owners. We are happy to use that service and MLGW is happy to have our revenue. Well and good. If the ownership of MLGW wants residents of the county to have representation on the board, thats fine with me. But Mr. Roland is in no position to demand it.
Roland #kingdouche :
I believe in small governmenterrunless its my government. In that case I plan to reach, and reach and then reach some more.
Seeing as you too are conveniently living in Memphis/Germantown, maybe you should go scope it out and share your findings.
County residents also "pay the fees and submit to the policies" of numerous other companies. Maybe Roland should demand a seat on the board of Kroger.
About the dairy, with tier 4 final engines, Def fluid, SCR and other exhaust filtering systems in place on the dairy trucks the exhaust is actually cleaner than the air going in the engines. Or so we have been told by the EPA who forced these systems on Diesel engines. So where are all of these "fumes" coming from that's everyone in the neighborhood is so scared of?
You hit the nail on the head!
I'd expect no less from such an ignorant ass as Roland....
"It's not paranoia. It's Standard Operating Procedure."...no, not really w/regard to our country. Alex Jones believes that though. All of the people at the major agencies I know are as straight laced as they come. My personal anecdotes aside, if our people are lying to us all of the time we would have collapsed long ago. Again - not everything is a plot.
"It isn't 'the thing of movies and Infowars' to point that out", my double meaning must have been misunderstood. I was mocking those sources as potentially accurate for anything. My error if anyone believed I was suggesting they were anything other than Jules Verne worthy.

Wow, I was just gonna say, there are no coincidences.
