Re: “Music Video Monday: Infinity Stairs

Steven is apparently auditioning for Milo's professional troll position over at Breitbart in anticipation of his firing.

Good Luck Steve!

How good do you look in pearls?

"His powers are beyond question"

Stephen, please tell me you are just trolling. If not, Congress and the courts have a lot to say about the limits of presidential power.

"FUNKbrs" (if that is even really your name), talk about not having a spine! The powers of the President will not be questioned. His powers are beyond question and represent the apex of ultimate authority.

Re: “Music Video Monday: Infinity Stairs

Keeping authority in check is the main job of the press and the reason why freedom of the press is enshrined in the constitution.

Unless of course you're against the Constitution, in which case nobody cares about the opinions of a traitor who complains about the government but doesn't have the spine to leave.

FAKE NEWS! Nothing to see here, sheeple, move along. First the WTF cover and now this! The Memphis Flyer needs to learn to show a little respect for authority.

I'm particularly fond of "Attack of the 50 foot Woman" as allegory.
Go Dr. Levina! Just don't stomp on me!

Re: “Memphis Blues Musician Fred Sanders Passes Away at 71

I loved my uncle Fred his brother Pastor James P. Sanders although some just know him as JP took me to meet his brother and family in Memphis when I was little in the 70's I loved all who I meet as a child we did not make it to Memphis all the time but he was love by all of the Sanders children his which are his nephews and nieces. He and my Dad could play the guitar well and now my brother Tim plays also who tried to follow the music of George Benson for years. Fred has been and inspiration to musicians and will be missed by all of his family I am a proud one. R.I.P Bathsheba Gibborim (a.k.a Yvette W. Sanders) Mob Museum Volunteer Las Vegas NV

Re: “The Comedian

LeftWingCracker,
That is quite a harsh assumption. Of course one guy is long dead and the other will never hear of this or respond. So critiquing their motivation couldn't be easy.

Re: “The Comedian

He is turning into the Olivier of his generation; a great talent who no longer cares where his next check is coming from or what movie he is in.

Re: “Pitch Perfect 2

Ever since the surprise success of the Fox TV show Glee audiences have been exposed to the world of choirs, high school show choirs, and the world of a capella. The film Pitch Perfect deals with the latter of the three.
Pitch Perfect stars Anna Kendrick as Beca, an incoming freshman at Barden College who is forced to go to college by her father who just happens to be a professor there. To know about Pitch Perfect 3 First Look just take a look and you get all the information you need.

Hi Chris McCoy. You've got a typo here. It's Keith Cadwallader. Not Caldallder. Thanks.

Re: “Hidden Figures

Keep cranking out focus based movies. Crank out some Gidget goes Hawaiian and Tammy movies with people of color. Make some love stories with people of color for the Hallmark channel, not just a few. People of color fall in love all the time. Try not to be stereotypical. Why does Taraji need to be a head jerking loudmouth. She does that well, give her a chance to show more sides of her acting ability. So many stars of so many shades why is this America only showing one side. Show the different shades of people that continue to make this country great. Why hide their stories? All good and intelligent and sweet and medically wonderful and moral are not only Caucasion. Enough already! American film is so pitifully tranparent.

Re: “Hidden Figures

Hidden Figures is a good movie. I don't think it is Oscar worthy but People"s Choice worthy. It makes you want to google these women and see who they were. I am apalled that people of color are deliberately deleted from historical occurances. It is seldom questioned when the only person of color is the doorman, maid or janitor. It is 2017.Why did it take so long for this movie to hit the screen. This movie did not dwell on the horrible atrocities of prejudice and bias. These women were not super heroes with capes and sexist Marvel orDC costumes, they were women with children and husbands, who happened to have underpaid jobs at NASA that they were quite qualified for. Americans seem to hate women, people of color and and big group of a mix of others they can find or invent a reason to hate. I am tired of hearing the complaining and whining of people who feel they have been treated unfairly. It was great to see a movie where a truth was divulged and the spirit of the day reminded us how ugly America was and is. Why is America so afraid to tell the truth about all of her people? Why suppress history ? Are we that pathetic? Good movie, thanks for teasing us with this little bit of history.
