Re: “Lavoro's

We've been going to this restaurant for almost 2 years. They had stuffed bell peppers which we picked up for my elderly motherinlaw. Coach was so personable we kept coming back each time trying something different. Signed on to their newsletter and their fresh and different specials on Fri and Sat were amazing. They really try hard to please. You can bring your own wine. Portions are large. Angelhair pasta with shrimp is my favorite along with homemade bread. Their inhouse italian dressing is the best! It's just a matter of time before they go bigtime!!

Re: “Eighty3

The food is really good but the service is some of the worst I've ever had. Two hours two get our table even though we had a reservation.

Re: “Stone Soup Cafe

The food is great but the service is some of the worst I've ever had. On two separate visits, it took over 40 minutes to receive our food and both time the orders were missing items.
I want this place to succeed but if they don't deal with the service problems...

I love Xiangqi and the people are so nice. They taught me to play. It was fun.

Re: “Doc Watson's

place has good crowd. Excellent band "Freeworld" this night I went. However, the doorman was very unfriendly, definitely could use some manners ! They were out potato skins on a Saturday night, so I tried fried dill pickles, which were not crisp & greasy, so i gave them another chance & tried the Chicken Quesadilias, they were Worse. terrible greasy & flavorless. At least the music was good !Waitress was good, too bad she wasnt cooking !

Re: “Cortona Contemporary Italian

I had high hopes for this place after looking at the menu and seeing all of the vegetarian items. Sadly, this place is disappointing to me and my partner.

The service was pretty sad. The hostess was rude, uncooperative (even though we had reservations), inexperienced, and seemingly only interested in some phantom party that never arrived during our 90 minute dinner. Our server was generally inattentive, lacking in knowledge about the specials and menu (and told us he didn't care), and screwed-up our order with the kitchen. The only bright spot was the cheerful visit by the manager.

The salads are terribly overpriced for what you receive. The food was rather bland. And the plating was terrible! A school cafeteria does a better job plating food than this place.

We won't be back. Too bad. This is a great location at Cooper-Young.

Re: “Tao Too Asian Eatery

The server's attitude is very poor, especially the cashier. The speed of cooking is too slow; although, I ordered one menu item, they made me wait more than 30 minutes every time. The worst time of all, they gave me the wrong takeout order after waiting for 40 minutes, and I refused to go back because I was an hour away from that place. Also, they're selling expired beers like Bud Light, Budweiser, and more. I swear I will never go back that poor place!!!

Re: “Rendezvous

Its sad to say......the food sucks. The sausage cheese plate, shrimp, nachos and beer are the only taste worthy dishes on the menu. The ribs are dry and super chewy. The lamb no words for it. I took my cousins from out of town...boy did they roast me about this place and Memphis BBQ. Sorry Memphis....I sent two people aways thinking Memphis BBQ sucks! Dang!

Re: “The Dublin House

Hey guys. I recently moved to Memphis and I have been going to the Dublin House consistently every Monday for about 3 weeks now. They have an open mic that is hosted by Craig Davis from the Craig Davis Band. The music is pretty cool, it's mostly people in different bands who come and play covers and originals. It's a great way to meet local musicians. They do have a decent selection of beer on tap. As mentioned previously, they have the anheuser busch selection of beers, and a few others, and the bartenders are quick and nice.So far I have eaten their portabella mushroom sliders and their wings, bit of which I thought were pretty good. I like the atmosphere, everyone has been incredibly friendly. Most of the people who come out on mondays are probably 21-28 with a few exceptions. For more on different bars, feel free to follow me on twitter. ja_garsha.

Re: “Bardog Tavern

This bar/pub/restaurant is fantastic. The two dishes I would recommend would be first, the Island Club sandwich. A club sandwich like no other, and HUGE!. Go in hungry for this one, cause it is BIG. Second, the Meatball Sandwich. Tasty big meatballs in a tasty italian roll, covered with just the right spiced up tomato sauce. A pleasurable dining experience, every time. Wait staff very attentive to your needs...AAAA++++

Re: “Acre

I dined at Acre on a Wednesday night. It was a decent crowd for a week night. The service was great and the atmosphere was even better. It is simply beutiful, inside and out. We were a party of five. Everyone else loved their meal. My meal was blan. We only experienced one problem which will result in me not returning...Before we arrived, my wife called and asked if we could bring in our own wine. She was simply told yes. When we arrived, the waiter offered to pour our wine only to return a few minutes later to let us know that since they carry that particular wine, we could not open ours unless we also bought one of theirs. Since my wife and I were the only ones drinking the wine, we certainly did not need two bottles. We explained to both the waiter and the hostess that we were not told of that rule. Had we known of the rule, we would have brought in a different label that they did not carry. The hostess admitted that she should have told us when she called and she apologized. Given the circumstances, I asked the waiter to ask the manager for permission to open the bottle anyway. He still said no. To me, the manager had a great opportunity to make a happy customer in the restaurant's infancy. Instead, I will not be back.

Re: “Panda Garden

I'm hungry. All I wanted to do was to see a menu and fast. I can't find it, so now we are going to Taco Bell since we are desperate for some food....
