I think your comments has been redirected for some reason. This article has been dead since March. They are interesting comments to the Master though. LOL

Very good. Since he has been a big advocate of everyone else moving if they don't like the majority now it's his turn.

Re: “Baseball in the Dark

Great choices. For my preference I would put Moneyball with Brad Pitt as #3. But it is all personal choices.

Excellent choice of movies. 'Fear Strikes Out' with Anthony Perkins and Karl Malden was always one of my favorites.

Re: “Rick Masson Named Special Master

Good point Jeff, and that means no foreplay during those few days out of the month either.

And if you or your wife get fixed, or if either of you are infertile, no more fun time at all. For that matter, you should be legally forced to divorce the minute one of you can no longer procreate, since that's the purpose of marriage, right? No more 80 year olds being married.

Re: “Coming Out

No Jeff, you can do all those things that are non-conformity in society.

You simply can’t provide chicken shit in a plate and call it chicken salad to anyone silly enough that will listen to the nonsense and expect EVERYONE to eat it.

Re: “Rick Masson Named Special Master

@Broad,

So your argument is that homosexuals should be expected to "overcome" their genetic wiring?

Let me ask you this. What about the hermaphrodytes?

Usually the doctor chooses a sex for them at birth, but what if he chooses wrong?

Also, how do you explain their existence at all if God creates man for woman and vice versa? What purpose is there in their creation then? And if they "choose" one sexual preference over another, how do you determine if they made the "right" choice or not?

Sex and sexuality is not any more black and white than any other issue. No one can explain it perfectly, not even a book written by man and compiled by man centuries ago.

By the way, I think we should mark this thread down for the fact that it has myself, AP, and OTP arguing together on the same side of an issue. Historic moments...

Re: “Coming Out

Adhering to Broadhead's logic, marriage then is simply the "righteous" attempts to level the playing field for all those less than manly men willing or unable to compete and fight for the right to reproduce.........I mean that is "natures way" of sustaining a healthier population of animals is it not? With that same logic, one could conveniently argue that rape really isn't rape at all, it's simply the natural order of the stronger asserting his right as the more forceful individual........my goodness the female should rejoice that she was so chosen.............

Really Broahhead, you're equating humans (made in the Image of God) with the animal kingdom? Man, your theology is so twisted................let me guess, secretly, you still consider African Americans to be inferior to whites and if it weren't for the "progressive political correctness" would be better off still in chains and subject to the more "learned" white task master to keep them headed down the right cotton row. Throw in some 18th century "logic" concerning women and everything would be perfect in your little fantasy world.......... heck, what say we have a good old fashion inquisition, let's save all those non-conformist.

Re: “Coming Out

Just to throw some gasoline on the fire here, what possible difference does it make whether it's a lifestyle choice or genetically encoded? If I choose to live without electricity, automobiles, and buttons on my clothes, does that mean you, the majority, can tell me I can't marry the person I choose?

Anyway, let's turn this around and look at it from the back side - if homosexuality is a choice, then, logically, so is heterosexuality. Tell mea gain that your lack of desire for that hot guy at the gym is simply your choice and not hardwired into your hetero brain, and that on any given day you could change your mind.

And if the entire purpose of sex is procreation and only procreation, then anything you do outside of the act of coitus with the purpose of procreation must be, by your own definition, unnatural. That includes not only your own uncontrolled nocturnal emissions, but also all the fun things friends and lovers do when the lights are off (and on). It also includes your own coitus with your legal hetero spouse at any time other than her brief monthly period of fertility. Oh yes, to take this to its logical conclusion, you only get a few days out of the month to engage in the bouncy-bouncy - the rest of the month it's no soup for you.

Re: “Coming Out

AP,

Evidence?

Would you say without any sustaining documented progressive scientific evidence that the propensity for criminal behavior was a combination of genetics AND environment?

The same said for academics?

For economic achievement?

For artistic ability?

All things have a genetic propensity but requires the environment and the will to achieve the desired results, INCLUDING the homosexual as well as the criminal.

You ARE what you want to be.

@ Oldtimer.....(yawn) what's your point? Sin was around before Christ? It was also around before the great flood too! LOL

Re: “Coming Out

Broad,

Actually, you certainly can help me further.

I acknowledge that hetrosexuality is the natural state of reproduction of the species in nature.

Now shall we get back to the question?

For the purposes of argument, let us agree that homosexual practices are deviant from normal sexual practices, which is self evident, since only a small percentage (5% maybe) of persons are homosexual and indulge in homosexual practices.

So is this "deviant " behavior based in environmental or genetic factors?

You brought up the environmental issue, so I am just asking for some evidence of that, not trying to start a fuss. Those who defend the practices say it is hardwired like the color of your eyes or blood type. I am looking for some evidence to say that is not so.

Again, help me out here and tell me the evidence of environmental factors.

Btw, homosexuality predates the Christian religion or any other religion or even secular laws.

Re: “Coming Out

Broadhead

Your concept of mental illness as being opposite of the majority norm is baseless. Just because the majority of people think or act a certain way does not mean that the science is wrong.

If you saw a battalion of soldiers marching, supposedly in step and you noticed one soldier was out of step, left foot down when all others had right foot down, is that one soldier wrong or is he the only one who is right? In order to ascertain which is right, you would have had to be there in the beginning when these soldiers first started out marching. It is no difference when it comes to homosexuality. Homosexuality has been with us since recorded history. Be that the case, how can you say that it involves choice by the individual as to whether being gay is an option?

When you can truthfully answer this question, you will be famous!

Is it just me or has the taste of ground beef (hamburgers) gotten different. I used to love the taste of ground meat in hamburgers, but, now, they all taste kind of bland.

Anyone have the same thought as I?

ETR

If Middle and East Tennesseans object so to Memphis and Shelby county, then why not cut us loose so that we can form our own independent state?

Hell, it would have more population than a few states, Rhode Island, Delaware and a few others.
