Although the yard appears not to be the least bit blighted (photo cropped or not), I do wonder now if the complaint wasn't about the bees. That looks like a lot of bee boxes. There are probably bees everywhere. I wish he would send some to my house.
Were these photos taken in response to the comments posted yesterday, last night and this morning? If so, why only one photo of the front yard - and a cropped photo at that.
HORROR! This? This is what Mr. Guerrero got fined for? I'll be honest and say that when I first read this story I really thought, okay, maybe I'm missing something and his yard really does just look out of control. But after seeing these pictures, the whole fine is even MORE ludicrous than I believed.
What amazing lessons these kids are learning about ecology, biology, math, cooperation, leadership, and--for all the wrong reasons--politics.
It appears to me this teacher is doing something constructive and making a positive difference in a few young people's lives. Hardly the kind of thing we need to be hamstringing in Memphis, no? We would do well, imo, to have many more Adam Guerreros in this city. Bravo, sir.
I sure wish somebody would explain why I have been cropped out of every single photo. I mean, damn.
.....I think Ms.Morgan looks beautiful, the JUICE will rule the M-town
Waaaay too much make-up. Maybe I'm crazy, but to my eyes it looks jarring and unnatural to see bright colors painted all over someone's face. Come on ladies, a little touch-up is always appreciated, but this is overkill.
TOO MUCH MAKE-UP MAKES YOU LESS PRETTY.
Only ONE male Hottie?? Lacking in balance I would say.
The woman with the short dark hair is well cast for the Hotties issue.
Re: “Adam Guerrero's Garden”
Here's a fairly recent article about beekeeping in Memphis, which is, by the way, legal: http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2010/…
Interestingly, the woman depicted in the article is the "coordinator for the Mid-South Peace and Justice Center's GrowMemphis, which helps people, particularly in low-income neighborhoods, create urban gardens."
Beekeeping is done all over Memphis, including behind the mansion of a prominent Memphis physician who lives on Central Avenue.
cdel: ALL photos are "cropped" to the extent they only capture what's in the camera/lens's field of vision. You may be giving the photographer here more credit/blame than she deserves. My suggestion: get over it!
