What did Diaz do in the all-star game?

Savvy analysis . Coincidentally , if your business wants a CA WG-007/EJ-165 , my kids filled a blank document here "http://pdf.ac/1YHYWA"

Re: “Stein: Mike Conley agrees to 5-year, $153mm deal with Grizzlies

Nightcrawler - A masterpiece of specious, illogical rant.
And if said NBA star had an IQ of 160, earned a dual degree in accounting and international finance from Columbia and an MBA from Harvard, and founded and ran a multi-$billion corporation with tens of thousands of employees and millions of customers, he'd be scum for asking $30 million a year.
How many times is his salary more than the ticket-takers and concession workers? Where are the moralists now?

Re: “Stein: Mike Conley agrees to 5-year, $153mm deal with Grizzlies

Imagine Conley's contract if 94.7 million Americans weren't out of the workforce?

If the said 94.7 million Americans were working and had discretionary dollars to spend for pro sports entertainment, 153M would be chump change.

Re: “Stein: Mike Conley agrees to 5-year, $153mm deal with Grizzlies

@Berclair: That does. $8mm was without Barnes' cap hold and $10mm is without Barnes and w/ waiving Vince Carter. James Ennis' deal doesn't affect cap space since they're taking his salary into the room exception.

Kevin,

You mentioned we are still $8-10 million under the cap. Does that include Parson's contract?

Re: “Stein: Mike Conley agrees to 5-year, $153mm deal with Grizzlies

Largest contract in NBA history. Only NBA players making 30M+ are Kobe, Jordan and now
Conley. Seriously, this is insane. Is he worth more than 15M what Raps are paying Derozen
on a 5 year deal? Payback from Conley Sr. for his last contract which was generally considered too low. Conley, slightly above average PG getting paid Kobe money.

Re: “Reports: Chandler Parsons agrees to four-year max deal with Grizzlies

Other than Durrant, I think Parson is the best the Griz could do to fill their SF position. Parsons' size and scoring ability make him a superior fit for the Griz compared to Batum.

However, I do wonder what the Griz are going to do with Zbo. If the Griz want to move to a modern offense, they can't continue to start him alongside Gasol, especially with a scorer like Parsons in the mix. Moving him and the one year left on his contract seems like a big possibility. Of course, before that happens, if it does, it would be nice to know whether Brandan Wright will ever play again.

So far, it's been a good off-season for the Griz.

Re: “Pat Summitt: 1952-2016

Pat Summitt’s accomplishments speak for themselves. Clearly, she is arguably the best ever. But part of me feels a slight degree of disappointment at how the public at large seems to have largely forgotten about Margaret Wade and her phenomenal success at little Delta State University. Coach Wade was a pioneer.

I don't believe in the "best ever" coach label, but there was never one better.

Re: “Dontari Poe Brings Dream to Memphis

Poe and DeAngelo are two great ambassadors for our program. Tommy West must be very proud of how well many of his players have turned out.

Mr. Poe! One of my MOST favorite Tigers. A wonderful young man. His picture hangs on my wall as an inspiration every day.

Re: “RIP George Lapides

George was a most knowledgable sports guru in the whole mid-south area.
Most importantly he was a class act. I knew him from the days he was a sports repoter for the Whitestation Spartins. He did many admirable things that most of us never know.
He was very special and will be sorely missed.
