Love, love, love this place! All of the menu items are prepared from fresh ingredients. You can customize your order adding or subtracting ingredients to suit your personal taste. They have a salsa bar with selections ranging from a mild version that anyone could handle to the hottest one made with habanero peppers.
If you're in the area and don't stop by for quick meal, you're really cheating yourself!
Execellent venue, very chill and relaxed. Nice Vibe. cheap beers, $4 for a red stripe, and $3 for a bud lime. Sound and music very good, the KHweens of Zion and the Chinese Connection were excellent!! Good vocals, banging ass bass, the khweens connect well with the crowd. We wil be coming back to check them out.
Never tried Indian food until recently, after an initial unhappy episode several years ago. A few months ago read about India Palace and decided to try again. Have been weekly diner ever since. Large diverse menu, much still a mystery to me, but everything we have tried has been excellent. I love the non-vegetarian complete dinner which has several small dishes, plus tandori chicken and chicken tikka, plus a dessert. VERY GOOD!!!
Eat there weekly. Love the Bay of Fundy salmon, but every entree has been excellent. Great and friendly service.
Best sandwich place in Memphis. The only thing I can possible complain about is the parking but I can't ding them cause I'm lazy.
Very good original songwriting, good performance, nicely original but very familiar in many ways
they jam out
I've seen this band live. Very good! The sound = Black Crowes, White Stripes, CCR, and The Rolling Stones mixed with a little Johnny Cash.
This place is off the chain. Fresh and delicious. Just what Hernando needed.
Dad Horse is a German one-man band who does a dark-gospel/roots punk thing with a foot organ, banjo, kazoo & vocals.... NOT to be missed!
Sleepy Eyes Nelson is Scotland's premier bluesman.... He's in all the blues magazines!!
+ Johnny Lowebow & Slate Dump?
This is a roots lovers' dream!!!!!!!
Very Hot Act!!
Food delicious (spicy gyro pita which was stuffed, and appetizer sampler of taboulleh, hummus, and Syrian eggplant dip) with drinks and tip all for under $20 and with extra pita to go; very clean; friendly, efficient staff; limited menu of sandwiches and salads only, but with enough pita and panini choices to keep you diversified for a long time. We will be back.
Velvet Revolution actually plays 60's classic rock, not folk-- see velvetmemphis.com for a list of our songs.. Come on down for a great time, we hope it doesn't rain!
Friday night (8/24), I took my wife and mother in law to dinner to celebrate my mother in laws mother's life who passed away this week at the age of 100 in Portland Maine. Everything was delightful! From the appetizers to the main courses AND our waitress Rachel, everything was perfect. The Rosetti (sp?) I had was heavenly! Thanks for a lovely meal...we will be back!
Glad to have her. I love her work. Welcome to Memphis. Thank you.

The food is great. They have a small menu and have perfected each of the dishes and appetizers. The Salmon and Grits were unbelievable. I pray this restaurant stays open a long while. The Jamaican drinks were delicious as well.
