The locally produced, internationally syndicated radio show Beale Street Caravan promotes Memphis and blues culture to more than 2 million listeners around the world each week. You can help this vital not-for-profit organization fulfill its mission this week when Beale Street Caravan hosts its second “Blow Out” fund-raiser, which will include a silent auction, free harmonicas for all attendees, harmonica lessons, and a performance by Billy Gibson, a master of the instrument who won the “Instrumentalist of the Year — Harmonica” award at this year’s Blues Music Awards. The Beale Street Caravan Blow Out will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 16th, at the Red Rooster downtown. Tickets are $75. For more info, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
