Four-session class. No drawing skills are necessary, but participants will need a basic knowledge of working with oils or acrylics. Instruction will be in oils, but acrylic painters are welcome. Professional artist oil paint is provided. This is not a formal portrait class; this workshop will emphasize form, lighting, and expression. The goal is to simplify, capturing the essence not the details. Participants will work from photos, printed or on a computer, iPad, or tablet. There will be demos each day and a lot of personal instruction. $185 members, $225 nonmembers
