    Even though redevelopment plans for Mud Island are still in the early phases, local skaters may soon have a new home.

    The city's park services division has proposed Glenview Park, south of Southern at McLean, as the site for a $440,000 skate park.

  • Council Delays Consolidation Committee Vote

    The City Council delayed voting for at least two weeks on a resolution to set a new Charter Commission for the purpose of creating a metro government.

    "I'm in favor of consolidation," said councilman Jim Strickland, "but I'm not convinced that next year is the right time to move forward."
