Manifesto/Bio
born to poor share croppers in Donelson Tn. Moved to Memphis in the early 60s, and lived there until I found out that they had barbque in other states. I grew up in east memphis and 240 was not complete when we moved in. Quince Road was gravel, and so was the end of Mt. Moriah. Spent my summers eating at the Tropiclal Freeze, Shoneys, Hi-boy and the elusive Embers. I remember the Cresent Motor Court at Poplar Pike, and sneaking in to the Butler's pool on Cherry Rd. All of that is gone but for the memories. currently living in Raleigh, NC.
