I just read in the CA that the SCSO had 175 officers in this "round up". They made .2685 arrests per officer! What a waste of resources!
And so it goes.... What are Jr's qualifications for this position? A background in finance maybe? No, hmmm, how about connections in congress? I've got a great idea, why don't one of your reporters ask Jr what his job entails, then ask his bosses what he does and let us know if their stories match? Jr got the hookup, didn't he!
It's not just "nice press", it's true. Of course, these 47 arrests were probably the result of an entire day of work by patrol, fugitive and the reserves. The fugitive squad typically makes more arrests than these operations, so in a sense, you are right - it's for show.... Even so, maybe the judges will keep a few!
I took that mugshot when I was working the jail in IDFP (identifications and fingerprints). I also took his fingerprints. He was all but wasted, as I recall, and "reeked of alcohol". I was never a fan of heavy metal before meeting him, much less so afterward.
I would rather have booked Jerry Jeff Walker. His music is more in line with my taste, and he also has been a guest at our local "crossbar" hotel.

But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends--
It gives a lovely light!
I've known Dave for a number of years. He will do well!
