I kinda saw the donut as a comment on how many more SEC wins Fulmer will have in his career. And, you know, that Auburn loss earlier this year looks a lot worse now than it did at the time. Thank god for the Wyoming Cowboys!
In my most pessimistic moment, I'm going with Obama 305, McCain 233. I would like my Flyer schwag in small, unmarked bills, please.
I love WEVL, but it is NOT a college-radio format. You could only think so if you've never heard an authentic college-radio station. Which is a forgivable mistake to make, because you live in Memphis, which doesn't have one.
You'll pry WUMR's jazz from my ears' cold dead hands. I'd give that college radio format thing a try, though.
John, you buried the lede! Alison Krauss and Robert Plant are coming to Mud Island?! And here I was bitching that Memphis In May didn't get them for the Music Fest.
Outrageous! Plus, I wonder: Is the land that Highland branch is on part of the U of M's property acquisition zone for their new "entrance" to the campus? It'll be bad enough to close library branches, but if the city sells the Highland branch property to the university for a song, it will be criminal.
Re: “Beer at University of Memphis Football Games? It Could Happen”
"Boyd said he has been attending college football games since 1954 and believes that beer sales make for a rowdier and less family-friendly crowd." Yes, god forbid Tiger fans ever get a reason to be rowdy.
