This is FANTASTIC news! We need any help we can get. Now we need to make sure the people who need it know about it.
I am so glad I have a Congressman with ethics and morals. Thank you, Congressman Cohen, for standing up for what is right.
The answer is to fund it. Period. If you can't balance the budget and afford a ball park for the kids, then tax me more. Seriously. And I am not rich. But all kids need parks like this. Especially these days with all the gangs. Fund it, Damn it!
Privatization never save one dollar. Ever. If you disagree, give me specific examples of where we the people saved money privatizing anything. It is so simple. Privatizing adds profit where there was non-profit. How can that save anything?
I will gladly pay many times the price in order to get Made in USA. I do whenever possible, but there are just not many products to choose from. For instance, I buy WigWam athletic socks, made in Sheboygan, WI! You should try them. Excellent quality and I know my money goes to an American company with American employees. I pay about 3 or 4 times what cheap ones cost a Wally World, but I do not shop there ever.
I will not pay for it. I will get my news elsewhere. I read it now, but I read a lot of other places, too. IMO, this would be a bad move for the paper. Too many free sites out there. People are not going to pay for it, it is not that good.
I live in the zip code 38108 in Memphis, TN. We have the highest infant mortality rate in the country. That means babies are dying! And our republican't legislators are busy with discrimination. I am so pissed off! This is a perfect example of republican't priorities. Hurting gays is way more important to them than saving lives of babies!
