In spite of the previous opinions, Tim, I think it was an excellent article and I totally agree! Keep up the good work! See how well he who shall remain nameless can spout his treasonous diatribes while being waterboarded.
Gumby, do you define the average US citizen as a born again christian with a rightest slant, and a normal viewpoint as anti-gay, anti-immigrant? I don't. The law doesn't either. If the religious want to get into politics, fine! However the rest have rights also. Let the religion based instutions, the churches, the synagogs, the mosques, the private schools and all "that ilk" be put on the tax rolls and taxed like the rest of us "Normal, Average, US citizens"!
And while we are at it, let them keep their noses out of other Normal, Average US citizens business!
Another republic heard from. God or someone forbid that we tax the rich! He doesn't like his socialistic roads, bridges, water supply, electricity, sewage disposal, public schools, protection by the police and fire departments, or any of the other niceties that taxation, even of the rich, bring. What he evidently prefers is pure regressive tax on the neediest of the citizenry and subsidies for the oil companies and war profiteers who are already making record profits!
Up his and the same for all his ilk!
Ah phillip, as another commenter mentioned you are either too young to know or too old to remember that in the 60's when the civil rights legislation was signed into law, all the democrats in the south suddenly became dixiecrats, and when that didn't work, they switched to the republic party. Why do you suppose they did that? In case your immature brain cannnot figure it out, I will be more than happy to lay it out for you. It is merely because you are a herd of racist swine. Nothing complicated, mind you, just examine yourself and you will come to the same conclusion.
As usual, a great post Tim. Thanks
Thanks for all the wonderful columns, Charlie. Your critical thinking and insight will be sorely missed!
LOL! Just the way I remember him. Some of his warped thinking evem spilled over into Mississippi,
Ah, Memphis. The most backward town in the USA, with the possible exception of Dallas.
