Can I just ask what purpose is served by quoting scripture out of context? Did you get those out of a real Bible or from Bartlett's Familiar Quotations? I don't think it would be cool to quote scriptures about how LAME that is, but there are plenty in the good book that deal with lameness... That's the only issue I have with the article.

I would venture a guess that wherever the Pope lives is owned by the Catholic church. The Pope himself does not own his residence, and from what I've read, he doesn't earn an actual salary either. It may be opulent, but it probably hasn't changed much in the last 200 years.
