Re: “Elvis Arisen

It was always so hard to believe Elvis could die so young. Never mind the fact that at age 42 he was a fried peanut butter and banana sandwich eatin' fat guy who popped pills like they were candy. Still he should have had a good 1 or 2 years left.

Re: “Nashville's $7 Million River Park

Only a few short hours up I40, but a world away. Nashville's city planning and management are superior to Memphis in every way. Why is that?

Re: “The Rant

Understanding, accepting or believing in others desire to be married is not a valid argument against why the law should allow it. I see heterosexual couples on a daily basis that for the life of me I can't figure out what they see in each other, but it's none of my business. The overwhelming argument against gay marriage is religious in nature and the "pick and choose" mentality of especially those in the bible belt. However, if these fanatics were really concerned about the so called "sanctity of marriage" they would push to enact a law that limits marriage to 1 or 2 in a lifetime. The more than 50% divorce rate that heterosexuals have managed to achieve is more against biblical standards than the one or two passages used to condemn gays.

Re: “The Week That Was

The Pyramid was built as an inconic symbol of Memphis' cultural sistership with the Egyptians. Now the choices are Bass Pro or a theme park. What a joke.
