Ok Chris, that is your one and only "If Rudy were healthy" for the playoffs. We all get one and I used mine in the first quarter of Game 1. Damn. Haha. It does bring up a good point that the Grizz have a great chance to make a huge leap forward next year with a resigned Marc Gasol and healthy Rudy Gay (fingers crossed). Even so, it is business time for the boys in blue RIGHT NOW! I'm predicting a macabre Memphis massacre at the Grindhouse on Saturday for a pivotal Game 3. Preview: ZBo will break Duncan like he's an old, rotten telephone pole. Am I right people?
Great analysis as always.
Great read. Any word on Leon Powe to the Grizz?
If the Grizz can hang in the top 8 til Rudy gets back we've got a chance. Need a big win tonight at home vs. SA Spurs. I certainly like Haddadi as a replacement for Thabust. Great post Chris. Chris, are you hearing anything about Leon Powe to Memphis signing? That would be nice.
True. I would take anything for Thabeet. And who cares about the draft pick, we would have screwed it up COMPLETELY if we would have kept it. See 2008 Love traded for Mayo and 2009 Thabeet. I am so tired of the Grizz front office screwing things up in the draft. It is just too hard to recover from. At least we get an amazing community leader and elite role player in Shane Battier in return for Thabeet. I just wonder why we couldn't package Chris Wallace in the deal and truely unload our dead weight. He's a bum!
Chris Wallace is a (edit) "worthless bum"! I could not imagine someone being worse at their job. Thabeet, Iverson, Gasol trade, Tinsley, Randolph, etc. etc. etc. Mr. Wallace, please quit holding Grizzlies fans hostage and just get the hell out of Memphis. You want to get more people in the stands? Try a 'Punch Chris Wallace In His Inept Face Promotional Night'. I'll pay for that. This Grizzlies fan is ready to scorch the earth and start over beginning with Ms. Chris Wallace.
I saw "Honeydripper" at the Memphis Film Fest last year. I like John Sayles but must say this movie was terrible. Painfully predictable and uneventful. Come on John, you don't have to side with the studios to come up with a more imaginative storyline. It is a really bad movie. Please don't go see this movie, go see There Will Be Blood instead.
